More Realism Ideas

Post by dogga94 »

Im gunna open up a forum and just post your ideas that you would like to see in PR to make it more realistic

For me, id like to see real effective range an m16 effective range(ability to hit man sized target) is 550 metres and in PR its like 300m which is really annoying that i can see the enemy but not hit him

the m16's are zeroed to 300 meters like they are in real life aim up to hit anything beyond that.

Errr, kind of Hitperson.......

The bullet drop on the M16's doesn't require compensation until roughly 300m.

@dogga94: That kind of accuracy is not feasible without both realistic ballistics and a stamina based weapon sway system. Can't have that level of realism in the BF2 engine without making several sacrifices.

Actually the weapon would be generally zeroed at 25m and then set to the battlesight setting of 300m. For close ranges, the large rear sight aperture would be used. For longer ranges the small rear sight aperture is used in conjunction with the elevation dial which has presets for different ranges. The point is, they can be "zeroed" to whatever practical range the infantryman desires.

Someone explain to me why this thread has not been locked? The whole point of this section of the forums is to post things you believe would be good to have in PR, following the rules of this section.

First, I would like to see the implementation of a new skin for the Vodnik and Chinese Jeep, as I believe they are the original ones from Vanilla.

Second, and expanding on that note, perhaps the Vodnik, Chinese Jeep and Hummer could all be given upgrades, such as increased protection for the roof gunners (ballistic glass, CROWS system).

Third, could the Hummers be replaced by a different vehicle, such as the Grizzly or Cougar? I know that would open up a slough of balancing issues, so I say it cautiously.

So we put a suggestions thread in your suggestions thread so you can suggest while you suggest.

Someone made a real vodnik, but IIRC the MEC's removing them.

While I cannot say what is going to happen to the Nanjing, someone did do an enclosed Vodnik already, but I think it's being removed from the game. CROWS has been suggested *to death*.

Suggested to death. If they're not general issue, it's probably not going to happen.
