I like the idea of a goggle view, only problem being that the 3p player models have them on their helmets. (for US) It shouldn't use much of the HUD.

Contrary to belief, NV actually limits your field of view.Airs0ft_S0ldier11 wrote:I like the idea of a goggle view, only problem being that the 3p player models have them on their helmets. (for US) It shouldn't use much of the HUD.

I like Ryza's little story -that would be cool. Although by goggle view do we mean NVGs or just standard WWI pilot things to protect your eyes from dust kicked up by cars etc.? From what I'm reading it seems more to hint toward that sort.

Night Vision in general. See the problem is that when you use Night vision, you have to have light coming into the goggles to see or have UV light shining infront of you. But try to go walk around your house holding a toilet paper cardboard cylinder over one eye. It's not as easy as you may think.

Saddam killed a few thousand Kurdish with a nerve gas.Made from precursors delivered by the "west".Also used in Iraq-Iran was lasting 8 years (during the 80s)
Chemical warfare - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Russians used a gas that is something similar to fentanyl during the theater take over in Moscow.
Moscow hostage crisis chemical agent - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The goggles are there if needed, someone is/was making a night Al Basra map as well.
(you'd probably see these if you have the map.)
So am all up for giving the MEC and Russian Forces nerve gas.

Re: Goggles/NVG's feature
alright so from most of these posts that I have read from this, were going off topic and talking about if the army uses tear gas on the war
then it turned to biological weapon suits wich is totaly rediculus in the war zone front line.
So forget the idea of NVG's becuase there is rendering problems with that on maps & lighting, aswell as the idea of tear gas.< this has been talked about befor in older posts.
This is NOW leaning toward the Goggles on the helmet and being able to put them on to get a better effect.
IF I could get a Profesionals opinion on this, that would be great.

The insurgents HAVE used Chlorine gas, I was doing a Chemistry project, and found out about this, I'll go look for the link.

Re: Goggles/NVG's feature
Battlefield Special Forces has a tear-gas launcher. Back in 0.7 the wounded effect was the tear gas effect from special forces, there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. NVG's and night maps equal performance nightmare. Unless there is a fix or some more optimized shaders then they will be too useless until then. Tear gas on the other hand would give a use to the Gas mask, as I said, it could be given to the Specialist kit for room clearing. At the moment the specialist is really quite limited to door breaching which doesn't happen quite often - so if you gave the specialist a tear gas grenade in place of the incendiary grenade, and a gas mask, then the specialist would be given a hell of a lot more use than the average soldier when it comes to CQB and room clearing.

Re: Goggles/NVG's feature
Well I was thinking and thought of perhaps having something like flash-bangs? But about them goggles, I was thinking if you cant make it that you can twist the suspension to aid the sand effect, how about on the sand maps they automatically wearing the goggles. When gas masks could be used on perhaps a newer map from the next release where the Taliban use chemicals. So ultimately US troops are sent in with gas masks, to remove the insurgetns/taliban, and instead of it being just a weapon cache, it can also be a cache’s that’s got special chemical weapons in it, perhaps add a new special class to this map, that carries special weaponry, like chemical bombs, traps that when triggered emit fumes that blur and make yeah cough and move as slowly as when you almost dead. And if you want to have a realistic idea on this, think of the realistic possibility of chemical warfare and what would happen if it was used. It can be like a reality like look at how things COULD be like if it would happen. Oh I just remembered don’t they use some type of blur effect for when you almost dead in PR when things go all black and white?
I like Pie, mince and cheese preferably.
