well, yes, u find very interesting things browsing the internet, especially web comics.

But that picture in question is rather inaccurate since that drop is the same size as a man...so its around 6ft?

Soy is ok (but it tastes like drinking wheat...), and infact I have a carton of lactofree milk (milk that has been mixed with lactase) next to me for making coffee/tea.

Or just land on his feet and survive, like any normal person would :p

To be truthful, that is neither six nor three feet. If it were six feet, the player models heads would just skim the ceiling, which is not the case. It is somewhere around eight or nine feet. Then factor in the gear you're wearing on your person, AND the rifle you're carrying in your hands.

So, lolwut?

Yeah I'd call that 7.5/8 feet down. Shouldn't make you bleed but yeah that would probably hurt a bit IRL.

Isn't the SAS trained to jump from 20 feet and land unphased with a special roll?

Normal people bend their legs when they land to absorb the impact, I once jumped from a 3 meter tree and while it wasn't comfortable landing on the ground, I'm not injured by it.
The gear does limit the effectiveness, but soldiers are also trained, so it's not as drastic as a regular person getting geared up and doing it.

I think we should either implement that system that was talked about where you heal up anything that isn't bleeding out damage.
Or make it so you're not damaged by jumps under 2 meters.
Also when jumping out of a driving car, I think we've all fell off of bikes and skateboards and inlines and stuff when we were kids, going like 15-20km/h you get banged up but it's hardly lethal like in the game.
Especially with all that gear.

Check out some parkour vids on youtube, they jump from like buildings and stuff, normal people would get hurt but they know how to absorb the impact with their whole bodies by bending their knees and rolling and such.
Just saying, most of the time, humans handle falls better than you'd think.

Could be worse. In the game "Hidden and Dangerous" a drop that high would kill you.

As would touching water.

SAS Commando's indeed.
