I was watching the Military Channel and they were talking about an instnace in Basrah where like 10 British soldiers secured a building,but then wave after wave of insurgents kept attacking. That got me thinking, a map like this would be sweet but make it on a bigger scale.



Make one huge building, like a US Headquarters (maybe like a huge mansion or mosque, and make the objective for the US to hold out for a certain amount of time. Insurgents would have unlimited tickets but US would be limited.

Make it so that the US couldnt leave the building (because the whole point is to hold it for strategic importance). The whole building should be large and easily defendable with multiple entry points and windows.


The challenge of the insurgents would be to break in and slaughter everyone , while the US would have to defend. On one hand, the US would have the advantage of an easily fortifiable position, while on the other hand the insurgents would have the advantage of infinite tickets.

That statement is kinda contradicting, and your suggestion is obviously just your way of saying I want to be able to camp the whole game and easily kill the other team from my fortified bunker. Sounds fun.

Also this is a re suggestion but maybe you can do it your self if you want it to happen that bad. ;)

You know what would be really cool is if on like city maps you need a building to set up a firebase. So like have a squad move to a building and you fige base needs to be set up from there.And on like muttrah city make one of the hangers become a fire base and have some vehciles spawn off it.

Isn't that PR all over? 90% of the game is waiting for the opposition to get bored and give up camping so you can pop off a super-long-range shot at them while their deviation's gone to pot...

Actually, Basrah might work, Just flip it around, Terrorists/insurgents holding a building while Coalition forces bombard/raid the Mosque/Building while the Terrorists/insurgents got strategic posistions in the building that have like mounted MGs and what not...

Oh come on guys... This sounds just another opportunity to slaughter insurgents from a neat cover. That's not the purpose of the mod afaik.

@Spartan: raiding a mosque is politically immensely incorrect. ;)

The Al Basrah mansion would be perfect for this game mode as theres barbed wire blocking entry routes and you have lots of areas of cover where you have good views of the enemy.

im kind of working on something like this at the moment..

although rather than defend a building the team will have to hold the port they start in

the port will have limited access points, some riskier than others...

the attacking team will have to decide where to focus their attack to break into the port before establishing RPs and trying to push their way through the port and push the defenders off the map..

defenders ONLY objective will be to establish a good defence and push back the attackers from the port..

Maybe combining the idea of the TS with a push map? So the big building is their last resort.

Im actualy working on this for some pretty long time, its based on the game Full spectrum warrior : ten hammers (if someone knows it)

its about a HQ getting swarmed by militia and then after a certain amount of time a bradley reinforcement spawns, and then the US have to take the fight over an bridge and secure a control point on the other side, what is also swarming with insurgents.

Or you have to hold a building or port or something for a period of time and after that the defenders receive reinforcements to push the attacker back and it will become a normal AAS match.

Hmm I love Qwai so any map Iron makes must be good. Need moar info tho!

@topic There was an Idea for like 8 Marines/GB to hold one building while 50+ ins attacked, I don't think it got far tho...

Oh wow, use your heads guys.


- US embassy captured by insurgents. US must save the hostages.

- They find saddam/Future dictator (lol) and you have to raid his giant mansion full of guards and MEC guys.

- A US base in the middle of iraq is being attacked by insurgents. (like the us base in fallujah but much much bigger. w/ Different objectives that they need to destroy... like Oil tanks, tanks, cars, barracks, mess hall, and finally the main HQ. But it needs to be BIG )

- US forces have to hold a city square or a large shopping center area ( Bazaar ) for what ever reason and the insurgents attack.

- Insurgents have a biological, nuclear, what ever turns you on bomb inside of a old war bunker underground / Some building / mountains. US is sent to destroy it.

- MEC have a tank factory, US is sent to destroy it.

- MEC have an oil storage area, US is sent to Capture it.

- MEC or US convoy is disabled... They are stuck inside of a large city area.. Are told to hold pos until transport choppers & Reinforcements arrive. You can also add a timer for this.


These maps should usually be smaller than the capture and insurgents maps, with a little bit less tickets. It would take hard work to make them, but if it is done correctly it would be amazing.

I mean Christians and Jewish players out there, you wouldn't like a game where a bunch of guys are attacking a church or a synagogue. Don't be shallow.
