Lol that looks awful, time to upgrade me things...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CKjNcSUNt8 "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
I used to til 4 weeks ago when I upgraded my PC, now I can run max resolution with max settings, except with Lighting on Medium since having it on High produces that liquid texture bug.
I spent around 200 euros which I was saving since last October, so it isn't that expensive
I play on LOW settings, and I got to tell you that its really not that bad, and sometimes I think its almost the same as high settings, its just that with high settings the textures looks more sharp and detailed, something I think is actually making the gameplay more diffcult AND since the BF2 engine is pretty old high settings doesnt look so good anymore if you compare with newer games so it doesnt really matter. The gameplay is making the whole game worth playing. What you want to aim for is better FPS tho. If you play on low settings, atleast put dynamic shadows and light on low, if you dont have that on the game looks pretty crappy **** cprappydie. But I got to admit that I would really like to play a game like PR in a new generation graphic witt 100fps.
dude i feel ure pain i have a .. let me check ... AMD 64 3200+ 1 GB ram radeon 9600SE and i have to play on low but i tweak the settings to medium on the geomitry and some other things to get a decent pov yet my long range view is often "what the FK is that" lookin at 2 blocks in the distance.
I'm have resolution up to the highest i can set it and geometry up to high, but besides that i have everything to low or off.
If a bomb lands 20 feet from your position, then I'm coming around for another shot.
P.S. Sorry that I missed the first time.

In some cases low texture and shadow settings could be an advantage, as long as you kept geometry and viewdistance high. For example you could more easily distinguish the enemy from the surroundings if there was less detail.
I remember in the Insurgency mod for Source I was playing it at minimum settings on a friend's old laptop and various objects weren't being drawn at a distance or even at all so I could actually see enemies behind cover that people on high settings couldn't see.
