That is totally realistic if he felt like doing that, He could just pop his head out of a hatch and blast you down.

Ok, he only killed you and jumped out of a vehicle that was still working, that's a bit different of course, but still I think you were only unlucky and he'd have done the same with a different gun.

I didn't because he was firing 14.5mm rounds at me...So you didn't even shoot it with the LAT?

So maybe he kept his gunner in and covering you and the driver went and killed you, in which case you are just unlucky, and that's that.

I would like to see a article when US Army crewmans jump out of they Strykers/Bradleys which were properly functioning to kill a single infantry guy. That is totally realistic if he felt like doing that, He could just pop his head out of a hatch and blast you down.

I'm 100 % that I haven't complained when an APC has shoot me from 300 metres, from 20 metres, when a sniper shoots me from 500 metres or an enemy shoots me from point blank range. Why haven't I complained? BECAUSE IT IS REALISTIC!Wow some1 complaining about getting owned? Live with it, it happens to us all sometimes...

Re: MP5 madness...
The apc would smash the tree down maybe but we dont have that option available. You cant expect every detail to be accurate, neither side there should operate without backup so you are both wrong
Maybe devs will give crewman p90 or mp7 and remove all doubt

I killed the gunner or my squad did, then the gunner jumped out prone dived, killed me, ran back to the APC ASAP and drove back to base.So maybe he kept his gunner in and covering you and the driver went and killed you, in which case you are just unlucky, and that's that.

Mate, this hass never happened to me, and from the looks of this thread to most other people. I really don't judge this as a problem.

Okay, the problem here is the speed then. You couldn't get out of a real APC that fast. But that is hardcoded. But I don't see what all this has to do with the weapon he had. Only if he had no weapon at all, it would be different.

So you killed the gunner but the gunner went back in the apc and drove off while he was dead?sakils2 wrote:I killed the gunner or my squad did, then the gunner jumped out prone dived, killed me, ran back to the APC ASAP and drove back to base.

I killed the driver, my bad.
Well, everytime when I face MEC APC's I fell threaten by their crewmans jumping out and blazing like crazy.

If he had a G3 it wouldn't happen. But I DON'T think the MEC crewman weapon should be removed. The main problem I say is the MEC APC cannon. That thing that shoots 14.5mm, it's UBER **** against infantry at close range, thats why crewmans run out to gain some kills. But I don't see what all this has to do with the weapon he had.

Only dump gunners/drivers jump out when they are in hostile environment.
He got lucky that time but against a proper squad he is toasted.

I'm guilty of getting out, but usually on Russia vs. Chechenya maps. It is pretty fun to put 30 rounds out of my Skorpion/AKS-74U into some idiot who didn't see it coming.
Please don't take the crewman's weapons away.

Re: MP5 madness...
No, the main problem is they know that the driver doesn't have a ''warmup'' time when he gets in/gets out. That's why they often do it, knowing that if they die, the gunner can just drive off, and that if survives or encounters too much infantry, he can just run back to the APC and drive away.sakils2 wrote:The main problem I say is the MEC APC cannon. Why do you think drivers do and gunners don't? Warmup time, the first doesn't have one, the second does, simple as that.
The vehicle is very good if you know how to use it, it's the lack of warmup time of the driver that makes him go hunt you on foot, rather than wait in the APC for the gunner to kill you.
You're right, this is not realistic.

This is exactly how the pilot kit got ruined. Too many people complaining about stupid lil **** that doesn't even matter and it makes the game more unrealistic.[R-CON]Outlawz wrote:Don't get spotted sneaking up in armor then. I second Alex's post, what's next: remove this and that guy's rifle because he shot you?
At the end we'd end up with Project Hello Kitty where everyone hugs each other and the only way to die is getting beaten to death with fluffy balls.
Whats so unrealistic about a tank gunner getting out and killing you for messing with his tank? They have guns in real life FOR A REASON.

Get some US Army crewman to be the APC drivers in game then....sakils2 wrote:I would like to see a article when US Army crewman jump out of they Strykers/Bradleys which were properly functioning to kill a single infantry guy.
Although I think the problem lies here:
Well, everytime when I face MEC APC's I fell threaten by their crewmans jumping out and blazing like crazy.
Just don´t face them and stay away. Why do you have to be that close it it? If it manages to get that close, then this time you lose he wins, unless there are 6 of you there waiting to kill the guy who comes out.

Because while you're doing that, the lives of 4 crewmen and a few billion $ worth piece of equpment is at heavy risk.nick20404 wrote: Whats so unrealistic about a tank gunner getting out and killing you for messing with his tank? They have guns in real life FOR A REASON.
I can already see insurgents hurling at M1A2 TUSKs so that the smartass crewmen gets out, gets killed, the tank is stranded, and then gets blown up by simultaneous RPG fire, RKGs and IEDs.
It's really tricky to mix tanks with infantry. Let IFVs and APCs do that job, they carry mechanized infantry for a reason, to do exactly that : Get out, and kill the guys threathening armor from closer ranges.

Re: MP5 madness...
i dont agree with OP as i , as well as others, have never had this problem... and when near a APC i always wait for it to happen , whether it be a crewman or some one riding inside.
well, im no tanker, but i believe they would have them for self protection should the need arise for them to leave the tank because of damage sustained... not to hop out and shoot near by infantry when the tank is fully functional......nick20404 wrote: Whats so unrealistic about a tank gunner getting out and killing you for messing with his tank?
