Hey wassup, once again i'm here to suggest something :P

As we all seen the impletation of Area Attack is not a BIG success, yeah they do strike freaking hard, but no one use them. So Here a suggestion.

Make Multiple area attack choice, let me explain, on map we had mortar or artillery or jdam, so why not be able to choose wich one we use. On map that can fit it of course.

So i'm in Kashan i spot some light infantry on bunker, i request mortar strike on them, rather than jam all the area attack for an hour, we could have 10 Mortar strike, 5 Artilery and 2 JDAM, each one would had is own "timer" like Mortar available every 10 min, Arty every 20 min, JDAM every 30 min. That way having a Commander will drasticly change the gameplay, and he will became very important.

Of course they're could be abuse and n00bery, but, i'm just tired of been prived of awesome and realistic stuff just cause they're is a little part of the players who are smacktard.

And dont start arguing about realism or anything like that cause in real life, they got precision guided arty, precision guided bomb, mortar...and all the stuff... whitout any timer, or limit... Devastation is name of the game.

iirc there can only be one offensive commander ability. I could be wrong though.
Colonelcool: I'd gladly pony up some tax dollars to send a JDAM over there just to kill that rooster.

What, Cartillery doesn't count? :D

I'm sure the are easy work-arounds even if you can only give the commander "1 artiller strike", you could still give him request order that would "spawn" mortar/arty shells above the area.

the reason no one uses area attack is because no one ever goes commander.

I really feel that off map support is under represented in PR. It would be great if the commander was given more off map support (Maybe then we could finally get someone to play him).

The MAIN reason why NO ONE play commander is cause its way EASIER TO PLAY WHITOUT. Why have a Commander when you can deploy firebase whitout any permission, why play commander if you had to wait 60min for a 30sec explosion ? Why play commander if there is NO real advantage. Even Coordination becames impossible since most of the time, people (i count myself inside that) just not listen commander cause they give smacktard orders.

People all hate commander cause most of the time they are so bored, they start wrote thing whit the markers on the map... Great... realy Great.

Atleast whit those area attacks the Commander will be able to do something to realy change the gameplay, more experienced player will start assume Comm role and then... Area Attack will be used, and it will make a difference. A single JDAM after 60Min didnot change THAT much. Yeah you can wipe out anything, but, the chance of havin ALL THE OPFOR at the same flag are none.

BTW ever imagine a B52 flying whit only 1 JDAM ? Or Artilery section whit only 15 rounds needin an hour to reload ? Realy efficient soldier huh ? :D
