Coloured Smoke does have its uses, but you must be very careful when using it so.

For example, on dense forest/jungle maps, such as Barricuda, where bushes are ample to hide in, coloured smoke can be used to mark the position of near-by enemy for say huey gunz-run.

Done it a couple of times with a spotter, huddled in a bush, when two squads come build an FB 100m away. Creep here, crawl there, scurry through the odd bush.
With the use of coloured smoke, they were all dead and flattened within the minute

you forgot this question

when joining a server, how do you go about getting your sniper kit?
1. join squad, ask squad leader if a sniper is needed for overwatch/intel etc
2. join squad, run to crate grab sniper kit, go find random spot to be 1337 and rack up kills
3. create "OMG 1337 SNIPXOR!!11" squad, possess sniper kit as squad leader.
4. join squad, get sniper kit. leave squad.

A sniper shouldnt be part of an infantery squad, he just blocks a slot for a regular soldier. As sniper I will eventually join a CAS squad or transport squad or make a one man squad. Unless a hook is involved to get me on a roof I do not need a spotter either, which is one gun less in the field.

Sniper should be avaiable to a one man squad.

soo true, it has been said soo many times, a sniper squad with one sniper and spotter is the best maybe even two sniper and two spotters, but u must be good with the teamspeak, and leave the chat to a minimum

^What? sniper squad, what a complete waste of a squad "block".
Sniper kits (or kit) should only be available to players who aren't in a squad so that they can go around playing über and stay out of the real combatant's way.
