About the whole shadow thing, unless its about noon an aircraft passing directly overhead isn't going to throw a shadow anywhere you can see. It would be a neat visual effect, but it would be too time-consuming to model up a C-130 or even a cut-out just for the sake of casting a SHADOW somewhere nearby the crate spawn. I'd much rather the time and effort be put into making plywood sheet statics for my maps. Having a "vroooom, airplanes!" noise is about all I think is worth the effort.

If it is possible to impliment, it would be cool to have dedicated helicopters (no guns or ability to carry troops)to perform supply drops.. and make the crates like ammunition so that you have to return to base and reload/resupply, maybe one or two crates per run..perectshot69 wrote:it would be cooler to make a human suplly plane or helo that could drop of land and deploy supplies a helo would probly be easier though
also, then you could use the smoke grenades (if possible only for squad leaders..), forcing the helicopter pilots to find out where to drop and get into battle to do it..
the enemy could take out your supply helicopter and you’d be forced to wait for the respawn,
if in safe areas, the helicopter could land/hover and resupply troops without dropping crates..
great idea from the start.. if helicopter thing not doable I would vote for at least the sound effect and a good 30+ second wait..
