Sight picture

Post by lenny1518 »

Hello fellas just a quick one, i love the saw/minimi and get fustrated with the sight picture
the view through the sight is very limited making it hard to aquire your tgts. This is a valuable asset to a squad in game for suppression but founf its not used that much. is there a way to zoom in on the sight picture?

Sorry if this has been brought up hundreds of times.

You can take your magnifying glass/binoculars and put it in front of your screen.

Oh i see,so the zoom we get when operating 0.50 cals and miniguns were a result of this zoomable eyes of these androids.Thx for the clear up!

Also i've just learned that any game on a monitor can perfectly reflect a what an eye actually sees and how it focuses on stuff, on a 19"-30" monitor.

How can a monitor perfectly mirror a human eye, it's tad more complex than a computer?
Besides, human eye, 200º field of view, most games set it around 60-90, it's worthless.

This is a 200º FOV picture with a 90º one for comparison.
200º (Red lines mark 90º)

He was being sarcastic about that.

I'd have to agree though, the human eye could do a lot better than you can in PR, but on the other hand, you don't have dust in your eyes and stuff like that - though you sometimes feel so when under fire :p

However, since scopes are supposed to be useful, we can't have zoom on the ironsights too - especially with the short view distance, it would not be balanced.

btw: 2000!

The BluFor LMG sight does suck. Very much. Surely that aperature is far too small? I used the sight on the RHIB's mounted SAW the other day and the difference...far better. You can actually see what you're shooting at.

Ya I love when people compare the sighting in PR to be = to real life, when in fact monitors are jaggy and unclear unless you got some huge one with some huge resolution. Anyone playing with crappy resolution automatically has a disadvantage to anyone with a higher one.

its not a sniper, use it to spray with short burst in the gerneral direction, Get your squad leader to place markers if your finding it really hard

if your using it aswell, wait untill there in the open and mow them down

Guys, the reason there is zoom on the .50s/miniguns is to amplify the effectiveness of the weapons to a realistic value. they would be damn near useless without it, which is completely unrealistic.

The Minimi is also the best SAW in the game. It has almost no recoil in the deployed mode (try playing with a PKM), and has just about the highest rate of fire. The sight picture is more than fair.

(SAW = Squad Automatic Weapon. The PKM is a SAW. The Al Quads is a SAW. The QBZ LMG varient is a SAW. Not just the M249/Minimi)

the USA 50cal is useless if your moving the back ring blocks your view I will go ahead and say I am one of the top 5 best players in PR using the USA 50cal and I almost never zoom in because I took the training to shoot when moving slowly.

The INS 50cal is way better zoomed in it lacks a back ring thus its use able when moving.

The SAW/Mni site is too small and make the gun less used in the field but i use it and can really hurt squads because its make focusing better down range.

All AR rifles for coalition forces will get red dots on the guns in 0.9 i read.
