Sorry if this has been suggested before but i had a look and couldn't see it.
I had an idea while playing as commander that bringing back the realtime satellite footage could be fun, I know in BF2V it was a bit unrealistic but in PR it could be amended to say every 5/10/15 mins the option charges and the commander can activate it to get realtime footage of the battlefield on max zoom for say 20 secs or so, this could be like in reality a satellite moving into position to allow this small window and the time for the asset to charge could represent the time before another satellite is in position to allow this option again?
Could be fun to improve even more team work as the comm could wait to just before a big attack push to use the asset and relay the info onto the squad map for everyone to see, also playing as commander can be boring from time to time and 3/4 of the match there will be no commander until someone needs it for some reason or another then resign again.
So what do ya think?

naah.... not a good idea =P but ive been thinking that the Commander should be given an ´´un´´real-time picture of the map. maby just give him a zoom capability of a satelite but make it as a normal map thats just alot more detailed =)

well yah i think we need a more detailed map for the commander, to simulate hi-def "satellite pictures" of the area from idk when..

How can you reverse a satellite? It can't "recharge" in 1 hour. Air Recon would be better. Commander orders a recon over a certain area and after a while he gets a birds-eye picture of the area.

We're not a clan. Just a group of friends playing together.

Perhaps when you max zoom, you get a very dated (like 10-minutes ago) picture, which would simulate how the satellite works. I'm sure that military satellites can take a picture of the area, and send that back. Or we could just make it a satellite image where there are no vehicles or infantry shown, just the actual picture of the building. That would help the Commander give orders I guess.

Who said anything about reversing a satellite??? A pic would be good as well but not from 10 mins ago that would defeat the purpose i was intending as what was meant was up to date info of a certain area that would allow the commander to mark on the squad map current locations of visible troops and vehicals.

I wonder if it's possible to do it just for insurgency instead of AAS to simulate a flying UAV.

it would be nice to have the map updated every 10 mins for the commander to see like a fbs and enemy movements.

Maybe not all the map...a 10 mins recharge that can uncover a single grid square to the commander as a snapshot.
