[Questions] Material list, statics and location

Anyone got a material list of what BF2 recognises. Like solid wood, glass, stairs etc.

Also how can you reference textures that are already in the PR texture folder, so instead of having to have them in a texture folder in object_client.zip.

Im not sure if thats what you re after, but it is a long list of BF2 materials apparently.

Im not sure what you mean by the second part. If youve made a new texture, then you can put it in youre own PR folder on your PC, but if you share your map, then you need to have it in the maps objects rar so that it available on other peoples PC's - The objects client just adds extra files to the existing main texture files - if tthe map was released as part of PR, then the texture could be added to the PR files, rather than the map files, as then everyone would have that texture.

( I could be wrong on this though - Im learning all this stuff atm )

There are many PR materials as well, so that list is far from complete. You can find all the materials in the common_server.zip/material/materialManagerDefine.con file.

ehhh, materials has nothing to do with textures like it dose in other games.

you can find the textures used by many diffrent statics in basically every map in the objects/staticobjects/common/textures/ folder.
