ah lol that might be the cause ... team was doing so bad I switched to other squads in hope on being able to spawn on land...

anyway, the map looks and feels nice, its mostly gameplay thats needs some adjustments (I mean the flag order stuff)

I havent played the 64 player version so I can only asume that it is just as bad as the 32 player. I love this map but I have to agree with everyone the US side very rarely win.

Playering 32 player on 50Klicks yesterday the MEC side recaptured the Docks and that was the end of the map, there was basicly no way we could take that back as there were 16 MEC players carrying RPK's to shoot down the LB's

A signle BH I think would balance out the map perfectly as mentioned BH are not that hard to destroy but the guns on it would give the US side a chance to take the Docks and keep it, it would also help to get the US team across that road to the park because right now it again it just a shooting galary its way to open and the MEC team simply kills anyone in sight from the rooftops.

Its either that or Give the MEC team another flag to cap first I think.

Hey [R-DEV]Rhino

I really like your map. it reminds me to Urban Siege in DC. but I still prefer Urban Siege better. it had desert, harrier Iraqi base attack choppers, river bridges. skycraper....

I still think the Mosque is too close from the coast, I never saw a mosque on first liner

The light and shadows are good, it feels like 3 o'clock. I really like hard contrast, brings better volume on objects.

The little birds and zodiacs should respawn more often. takes forever and people get bore quick.
Ad a neutral Flag maybe on the Docks so Mec have to rush and get it first, so US get some time to ambush through the skies

I will really like walk on behind cities desert, and add some beach...

Im thinking of making some custom maps... I got some great Ideas. but I need more time

There need to be at least three, maybe four LB's on the carrier at spawn and some sort of helicopter fire support, Blackhawk miniguns or Apache rockets
Just wait for the OH-58D Kiowa or AH-6 Littlebird for fire support, it sounds like Apache's will ruin the theme of the map.

Bring on AAV7's. They would be fun on this map. VERY fun.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

The thing with makeing another flag to cap is it doesnt sove the problem, it gives the US a good change to get a foothold but if they loose that foothold for any reason then there screwed again.

However it is a lot of fun if you do get that foothold as you have to do everything in your power to keep it.

But I have to say I have not yet seen anyone get any further then the Park really makes the other flags and the rest of the map a bit useless.

basicly, another flag to cap is not going to solve the problem.

no it gives the USMC a better chance of getting its foot whole. as soon as it gets that then its a equal battle and its up to them to defend there first flag and push onto the next. If they loose the footwhole its there fault.

Actualy haveing just the Docks still keeps it unbalanced, with the FOV the MEC side get from the rooftops getting across that road is a chalange in its self, not that it cant be done if your team is working together but for the average player on the US side its near imposable.

I was actualy playing on the MEC side we had retaken control of the Docks about 10 minutes further into the game a LB landed a squad on those rooftops, they didnt have much chance of getting the Docks back but they racked up stacks of kills just re-spawning on there SL if they died.

that said they still didnt win, its not a case of if the MEC take the Docks its a case of if the MEC take the rooftops across from the Docks.

Thats why im thinking a single blackhawk would even things up nicely, it would allow the US side to clear the rooftops for the foot soldiers to move up but it is still vanreable to rockets and machinegun fire.

1, there is a blackhawk on the 64man version.

2, the USMc have littlebirds, if there pilots are smart they can secratly lay down troops to take out the guys on the roofs from other roofs.

I think that the only 'problems' with the map, are a lack of teamwork and lack of good pilots. I find the opposite with many veteran PR players. Everytime i've had one good pilot on the american side, we did well or at least close.

Umm, we're talking about FUN and PUBLIC servers... Not elite clanmatches so stop yabbering about what a good team could do and start thinking about the average public server team can do.

Without a BH in the 32 player version it's almost impossible for the average team to win as USMC....

^ exactly what I am getting at, you will never find everyone working together as a team on Public servers, and I am talking about the 32 player map not 64.

I'm sure that map works great when its clan against clan they afterall will be useing teamspeak so they can always talk to the pilot to get them somewhere, on a public server though you cant always expect the pilot will be on your squad and even if he is its unlikely he will take orders from you unless he has been playing PR for a while or knows who you are.

The 32 needs a Blackhawk or some sort of gunship if you have a good reason for it not to have one then im all ears.

I agree, I think a blackhawk for the 32 player version seems to be the best solution, because, as it has been mentioned here already, the problem is not with the us being able to capture the docks, the problem is for the US to hold them (which is hard against all the rooftop infantry guarding the market).

A blackhawk to sweep the roofs might just push the balance enough towards the US side to make this map perfect.
We gotta keep in mind that a blackhawk is still very easy to take down if the MEC have one or two good AT guys or a few machine gunners, but together with the little birds and boats, it might just work out well and make for some awesome battles.

Try TC and gloryhounds. I only play on these serversm, as they are usually well populated at this time, most of the same players are on all the time. Teamwork is very good. Its fine. I get a good pilot in the blackhawk and the mec wont have time to leave thier spawns.

Oh .. another thing .. a minor but potentially significant point, is giving the ability to have one or more ways down from the large building at the docks. If the USMC could drop guys off on that roof and they had a way to get down it would potentially be very helpful.

The big one at the docks with the flag in it. It's a great drop-off point for USMC, but there's no way to get down (spec ops can para but that's ghey).

a couple of ladders or some such would be nice.
