Squad Leaders get a clip of tracers?

Squad Leaders get a clip of tracers?

I think it's a good idea of squad leaders get one or two ammo clips with all tracers to mark out targets for their squad members.

Squad leaders have a marker they can set on targets which is allot easier then creating a second ammo type for tracers only.

Well, for this to be properly implemented, you'd need to use up a weapon slot, and Squad leader kits especially have run out of extra spots, to the point that they've had to cut back on some things (such as normal smoke grenades).

Otherwise, this would have to be part of a kit customization (which is what it really ought to be), btu that isn't possible (unless you created different SL kits, with the sole difference being tracer mags or w/e.)

It's an interesting idea, that I'd love to see happen when we hopefully move to an engine that allows kit customization, but it's not practical in the slightest at the moment.

If only squad leaders had some sort of tool to emphasize a specific point on the map and have it be displayed on squad members' 3D HUD and maps.

Remove sidearms. They do not promote teamwork as much as a separate tracer weapon might.

What are you talking about? That makes no since at all. Why would they remove the side arm to put in a tracer weapon, when there is already a SL marker system were you can put a few different kinds of markers on any object in the game to gain your squads attention.

Besides that would only give you position away. There is nothing wrong with the sidearm, Wth does promote teamwork mean anyways? They are either gonna play with teamwork or they are not you can't force people to play the way you want.

In conclusion there already is a marker system for the SL, a full tracer clip would be unrealistic and it would be completely pointless unless you wanted to give your position away.

Yeah I agree, We should also just remove all guns since they don't promote teamwork either.

i think he means take out hte pistol schince not many ppl use it and replace it with a tracer gun...

and after rereading the post at 4 am, i think i get it, have tracers so otherpeale not in your squad will see them?

and your suggestion is not possible, would be only possible to have every round in every mag have all tracers, no tracers, or what we have now with 1 in every 3 or 4 rounds has a tracer.

You couldnt have an alternate firing mode with a special tracer ammo like when you switch from HE to Smoke using a grenadier?

The SL has attack/observe markers. Please try to use them. They are very effective; and can even be used when you do not have line-of-sight to the target (via the squadscreen overhead map).

If you're in a firefight, and want your squad to fire on a position, just use the commo-rose and select "Attack" where you're looking; and voila! An attack icon shows up precisely where you were firing.

I have been saved on many occasions by the sidearm, in several situations I've emptied a mag from the main gun and just when I'm about to reload someone comes through the door. the only answer is the trusty pistol a few shots of that and I have plenty of time to reload

Well, here are two situations.
Situation 1 wrote:An American squad leader defending north village fires onto a cliff with hostiles*
Squad Member 1: "I can't see it, fire another tracer"
*Squad leader fires tracers onto the cliff with hostiles*
Squad Member 1: "I still can't see it, the enemies are too far away and the tracers aren't rendering.
*Frustrated Squad leader fires all of his tracer rounds onto the cliff with hostiles*
Squad member 1: Oh I see nao.
*The enemies relocate but the SL has no more tracers*

This suggestion doesn't work and isn't needed. YOu can move your markers to help your squad. I've made observation markers for my team so they know in advance what's going on in firefight or in the moments before the firefight.

Also, I've gotten my fair share of kills with the pistol, it's a useful Personal Defense weapon which is what it's actually named. It's not an assault rifle, it's a weapon made to kill the guy who tried to sneak up on you when you suddenly find yourself out of ammo in your current magazine.

Well,i fully support that and suggested this a year ago somewhere,and there was some discussion about it...

Now marker ONLY works for YOUR squad,so if you need a fast help from another squad say 100 meters away from yours,or airsupport from choppers, instead of typing hey squad x we have enemy on bla-bla keypad bla ,you just fire your tracers...

I would also like to propose something else,giving snipers a tracer round(or a few) ,well snipers definitely have those rounds IRL because they also help artillery fire IIRC,a thing we dont have in PR....

Infact,even a tracer round as bright as a flare could be given to the snipers,maybe one use thing,and after impact it acts like a incendinary nade,only visually of course,without any damage.Well this could be unrealistic but it might effect the gameplay,teamwork positively.
