Re: Does PR work on Macintosh?
Nope. PR is a mod for Battlefield 2. There is no Battlefield 2 port for OS X.
You could try to get Battlefield 2 to work under Cedega. From there you can probably move some files around if you can get the installer running under WINE. Lots and lots of work.

And Cyberzomby. Im on a macbook pro tuned up a bit as well. Runs perfectly fine. Only problem I have (as do all laptops) is that its really hot in the summer.
Just get bootcamp, install windows and reboot to windows.
(doing a design study so thats the reason I bought one. Not to be cool. Started the study with a regular laptop as well btw, but that broke down in like 1 year )

I've got an intel-based iMac, and I can run pr quite smoothly (except for Fools Road, the video card wasn't made for that, though they no longer sell them with only 128 mb cards). If you've invested in one, you should be able to play most games through boot camp.
Though if your video card is a 256 it should run everything quite well.

Well, in that case the question is answered. Just remember that while it's possible to play on a windows supporting mac, you still need to match the minimum requirements for BF2 at the very least to play some of the older maps. BF 2's recommended requirements shoudl allow you to play any map smoothly on medium settings, at the very least.

Macs are awesome. PC's are awesome. You can play PR with both. And most Macs nowadays more than likely smash system requirements. No reason to bash either one.
And Yes, Bootcamp then Windows does the trick BUT ONLY on a Intel based Mac. Do not know about PowerPCs, which are from about 2 years ago. Read up on partitioning your drive correctly so you don't wipe your MAC OS while making the new partition.

Wrong. Bad and inaccurate advice.
Install BOOTCAMP
so you can install Windows
EDIT!
****IF YOU MAC IS INTEL BASED THEN BOOTCAMP WILL WORK (those go back a cpl years)
Power PC Macs I do not know about
^ Sry Waldo you were not completely wrong.

Re: Does PR work on Macintosh?
I've only ever played PR on a Mac. (since about 0.4) Runs perfectly fast @ full settings on 1680x1050. Smoke/dust still chops it out though - but that's more of a driver problem.
(off-topic):
I game a lot, but I also do a lot of video/photo editing. Apple Hardware is expensive, but Mac OS X more than makes up for it. OS X blows Windows out of the water. Plus, if you know all the tricks, its not that much more expensive, and you can run games just as good as the latest PC gaming hardware.
I'm not a PC hater. I've got one sitting right next to my Mac. I just hate PC gamer kiddies who think they know what Mac is all about.
Anyways, as long as you have an Intel Mac, you'll be able to run PR just fine (unless you have one of those integrated GPUs on the older and lower end laptops).

But in all seriousness the question has been answered and the thread should probably be locked before it goes on anymore.
