sprint + ironsights.
i was thinking, is it possible to make it so if you sprint after going to ironsights, you go back to them once you stop running? its annoying having to click the mouse. sometimes its unresponsive and would be useful as an automatic thing.

When cleaning rooms, we do not look through our iron-sights / into our scopes. We actually just look over the rifle or along the pipe if you like that expression better. The look over the rifle is usually simulated by the crosshair you see in vBF2, since it is hard to model the actual view a soldier has when he is looking over his rifle.Malik wrote:It'd be nice if pressing sprint while having your sights up would make you move faster. The current scope moving pace is a slow walk, you can't really re enact those room clearning maneuvers you see on all these cool military videos.![]()
In PRMM i do the room cleaning maneuvers by guessing where the middle of the screen is, and going full automatic. In reality, I would probably not go full automatic, because I would have a way more precise aim, by just looking along the pipe of my rifle.
For the sprint+ironsights main suggestion...I am all in for it, if it can be done.

I think that this approach in the BF2 scenario will be more of an annoyance than an improvement. After all, having things being done automatically for you, is sometimes what gets us killed the most.
If it was for me, I'd remove the "ability" to auto-reload when you try to fire an empty weapon...

Next people will want to be able to look thru the scope and lean round corners taking aimed shots in milliseconds!
No, when you sprint the weapon tends to come down so you need time on stopping to raise the rifle again, whilst getting your balance and regulating your breathe to avoid barrel swaying.
And the british army way of cleaning rooms? we are talking infantry here, so the wall/door is blown off, two troops run in diagonally to the side firing multiple shots into likely enemy positions, any rubbish/furniture/dark areas. There is no aiming, no judging who or what targets are!!! You are infantry, not anti-terrorist troops daily trained in hostage rescue!!

[R-MOD]Mongolian Dude: AH man, sarcasm is so hard to get across the web, even if we are both british
[R-DEV]Jaymz: That has to be...the most epic response to a welcome thread I have ever seen. [R-CON]Mr.D ladies and gentlemen!
