My mates and I do this sometimes on muttrah with a LB @ high alt. More useful for recon than anything else. Pretty much impossible with a moving chopper though (sniper rifle, that is). SAW gunners from choppers is a pretty common sight though.

Used to be a pretty decent tactic on Al Basrah back in the day, firing HAT out off a Merlin. The problem is that it's just really hard to hit stuff when moving, harded than in real-life (this applies to humvees etc. too)

Ofcrouse, rotary drive-bys can be 1337 and all, but why not make good use of the mounted weapons that are common-place in medium sized transports?

yo i saw that sniper challenenge thing, it was like TOP sniper or something and they were shooting out of a blackhawk, but yea i like the idea, but it would be hard with the way you have to steady your crosshairs in game and on top of it being in a moving chopper.

Back in the day, in BF Vietnam, me and my mate used to use the huey transport as a mobile anti-armour platform, with him switching from ATRs to the '60s as needed. Worked a treat then too.

some time ago the noobs crashed both the corba and helo gun ship and all that was left on the carrier were some LB so i got my squad to get 2 saws and a Rifleman AT and HAT kits and loaded up the the LB and we were flying around the city doing CAS with the LB. it worked good for some time be some one got an lucky shot on me flying the helo. but other then that and LB "ghetto" gunship works good

Good video, but i can't wait to see a video possibly in the future of someone using a marksman or sniper rifle when in the helo and fire on target well moving and kill someone.

Well apart form it being hard to aim, the helicopter vulnerable there is also ping and hitbox issues so I think if it happens, you should buy a lottery ticket.
