the thing that bothers me is ure trying to proove ure point while it has already been proved, listen akms are nos nessesary for the freaking game to run ok? the game wont crash if there are not akms in there, but what im saying is we need to have another kit other then the shotgun and i suggested the akm because it would be the top choice it can be modeled easily bcuz the devs already have all the nessessary parts they jsut have to put them together, it adds variety to the game and realism, this game is not about what is practical or not its about what happens in the real world and in the real world im sure that soldiers are gonna find themselves being shot at with an akm as much as an ak47

Debatable. I agree the shotgun is incredibly underpowered as a main weapon, but that doesn't mean it has to be changed as a main weapon - a much better alternative would be to make the kit more powerful in other ways - for example giving it an ammo bag and field dressings.

It would be easier to just give the kit an AK-74 / 47, or import the existing AK-101 model from vBF. Everyone thinks it's really easy for the devs to add THEIR hardware to the mod. When you learn to skin / model, and just "chop up the parts and put them back together", then you can tell us how easy it is.

No, it doesn't. The difference would be purely cosmetic. It would be no different to colouring an AK-47 purple and going "Look at my new gun! Look how different it is!".

Au contraire, if it was about what happens in the real world, you'd stay dead. If it was about realism, you'd have to cook your dinner, and take a ****, and suffer from influenza, and pop the blisters on your feet, and twist your ankles, etc etc etc. The *game* is about fun *gameplay*. Adding arbitrary models that has no effect on gameplay isn't a productive use of time.

My bet is thats very rare. From pictures I seen and all Media, I personally never seen an AK47. Although I have seen something looks like AK47 to people who don't know AK series.

What I mean is, The way you tell difference between AK47 and AKM, there is 3 MAJOR (not all) visual appearance difference between AK47 and AKM.

AK47 has:
No muzzle brake
Slant shoulder stock
Square shape milled on receiver to reduce weight

AKM has:
Slant muzzle brake
Straight shoulder stock
Oval shape stamp at top of magazine port

Although official Iraqi AKM (Al Quds) copy is equipped with slant muzzle brake and slant shoulder stock, many pictures from Iraq I seen, they have variety of shoulder stock and muzzlebrake. Some muzzle are slant, some are not, some are folded like original soviet AKM, some are like Romanian, some slant shoulder stock, some straight.

But one thing for sure, and this is why I say I bet they rarely see a person with AK47 is that They all use AKM receiver. Which makes it AKM no matter what kind of muzzle attachment or shoulder stock is used.

So changing current called AK47 with AKM is very realistic in my opinion.

hmmm intresting, thats the problem with the aks many variations were made. but still im talking about the normal akm design, the one ull always see when u type akm on google a "true" akm

hmmm that made me think hmmm the ak47 from pr has a a receiver cover that looks like akm one, could they be making akms?, still i think akms should come with their true parts, because there is a difference when u look on the sights of an akm vs an ak47 u would look straighter, the weapon would appear a little more down on the screen therefore giving us more vision more control because of the muzzle and the stock and a more accurate weapon when firing full auto, all that because of a muzzle and a buttstock
