Heat maps

I want to see some heat maps from project reality maps inlcuding were enemies are killed most, where the paths of travel are for infantry and vehicles. here is an example from halo 3 for kills:

Honestly, zepyhyr - with this kind of approach you wont achieve anything.
Also, could try to be more specific? What does it mean 'were enemies are killed most, where the paths of travel are for infantry and vehicles'?

I think he wants a minimap from each map, with overlayed colour coding showing the hottest areas, where most fighting occurs.

Probably better placed in general discussion tho.

How do you do that anyway?

I mean, I've never heared of BF2 having a feature like this, so is there are 3rd party program or what? And how many games would need to be analyzed for it to be representative? On 4x4 km...

i dont think you really need it.... i mean what would it bring to pr.... more ramboism?

you eventually learn where alot of the ambush areas are, and how pr is made, it would not work becuase where it is hot its 1 or 2 squads engaging each other and thats low priority.... and usually if its hot and there about to lose there postion on the defining team, or the assulting team neads reinforcements, they will use team chat....

all i see this bringing is, well, lonewolf teamwork, you know?
like there will be 5 lonewolf's arround and they will meet just for the fight, and then there gone agian, but really i if possible alot of hard work for not to much that you cant allready do...


but if you mean a normal map, then none above applies=P

if it is that ill see what i can do by my own experiance

I'm going to quote the first post in the Already Suggested Suggestions thread, which you should have looked through thoroughly before making any suggestion.
1. Is it worth it?

The mod team has limited means and can only set out for so many ends. While adding the ultra-elite counter terrorist Vatican Swiss Guards as a new faction would be cool, ultimately it would require an awful lot of time and add little to our mod.

4. Does it fit with the Main Aim of the Project Reality mod?

Please remember that our main pronciple aim is to promote teamwork, make the BF2 engine into a realistic yet fun tri-service battleground, and introduce British Forces. We have added to this list as 'secondary aims', like adding Insurgents etc, but please do NOT bother suggesting a complete re-design or any kind of special forces only mod, as it will no doubt be met with a brick wall from Devs.


In the future, go through all four questions and answer them all in your suggestion post. That way we can properly judge the idea and decide if it is right for PR. If you cannot answer any of the questions, then you should not post the suggestion.
