More points from destroying a cache

Post by Vege »

I think the amount of points you get from destroying a INS cache is close to zero?
Those that destroy should imho have few hundred points for doing so.

I think its 100 or 80? Not sure. However I agree, it should be more imo.

Points don't mean anything, you can get thousands of points by doing nothing much.

Atm the point system is kinda bland and un-explanatory, maybe in a future version it will get an overhaul but right now its not a big issue when there is no kept ranking system so your score means nothing once the new map starts.

Would getting more points really be an incintive? Also, shouldnt it be a spread across the squad?

Yet another reason to remove the points system entirely

It just seems to me that if you are keeping track of who got high score then you arent really focused on what the game is about. Its not about who got the most points, its not about who got the most kills, its about "Teamwork"... and that is something that is very hard to quantify, yet when its happening, you know it. I think points and K/D ratios only get in the way of that. Idealy the commander would be able to see the K/D ratios, so he can make an informed decision about which squads need to withdraw, or advance, but as it is the points screen is used to confirm kills, and IRL you would have to count the bodies to do this. Where points are concerned.. "Teamwork" is difficult to quantify.

I disagree Point system is not used as a Lone wolf tool its there for squad score and the score board should only show the score of the squad as in.

Squad Alpha

full point count.

Squad Kills 130

Squad deaths 21

Squad - score points -62

Squad Team work points 1300

etc.

then no one would care about how many kills they have because its mixed with all squad members.

wow,, little bit hijaked=P still i agree with this, i think that it should help becuase it showes your squad is doing work...also, its fun to have proof that your doing stuff, and the score system dose that...

whene you get 5 caches i would like to see a signifigant score diffrence not becuase you found it, but becuase you were working to find it

There are other topics to discuss if the point system is good to have. I'm just stating that if we have it, why not encourage people to do the right thing.
