It will suck for the insurgents if this gets put in game, they are 5x stronger than Humvee's so its gonna take a few more IEDS to actually kill it, especially since these things are sposta take IED blasts and keep the crew safe. Maybe add these once you give the insurgents EFP's

I think this is actually a nice idea. The assymetrical balance would be an issue however it might not be as bad as people are saying. I think a good damage system would probably be 2 rpgs disable it (whereupon they'd have to bail as the rpg holder loads the 3rd) and 1 ied disables/nearly destroys it. Maybe they could make it so they lose more tickets and increase the spawn timer so there aren't as many crawling around.

Digital camo is digital...
It looks awesome, but not sure if PR could benefit from it, besides the boost of awesomeness...

Manual traverse turrets are more reliable, give the vehicle better combined awareness, and are a fraction of the cost.supahpingi wrote:Its lacking CROWS,so is it really that good?

From what I understand this is going to be another band-aid until JLTV is selected and fielded.

Trouble is, with the gunner protection kits, they're not completely manual anymore because of the weight. They are either power assisted or completely motorized. The motorized traverse unit from Armor Holdings can traverse at 36 degrees per second. The Kongsberg CROWS can slew at 100 or more degrees per second.[R-DEV]Jaymz wrote:Manual traverse turrets are more reliable, give the vehicle better combined awareness, and are a fraction of the cost.

Yeah I'd go with CROWs for the travesrse speed, plus you dont have to have a Mog issue, where the rangers on the HMMWV gunners were getting shot out of the turrets on the covoys like crazy
That basically meant gunners arent exposed and shot as much

So this new hummer is pretty much like the hummer.. except repels RPGs, IED's, and is bulletproof.
Give insurgents Hydra-Firing miniguns, and the teams are balanced xD
[EDIT]
It looks like it's built out of lego as well >_<

It's not much that it takes a lot of time to make, but up until now there hasn’t been an argency for new light armoured vehicles in PR. There have been more important tasks, so there hasn’t been a rush to get a new replacement out. Plus there’s the balance issue with other factions needing something near equivalent, such as the Chinese. I can tell you one thing though, once you see the Up-armored HMMWV you wont want anything else.[R-MOD]Tirak wrote:PR has too few modelers and too little time. Hell, Cheesemans Up Armored Humvee has been "In the works" for years (slight exaggeration). If you'd like this project to go ahead quicker, modeling it yourself would probably be the best way. You can find tutorials in the Community Mods section of the forums.

I been waiting for your HMMWV from day one
I don't want that jeep 'a' **** I much rather get [R-DEV]Cheeseman Up-Armored HMMWV even tho it will be 2010 before I get to see it finished.
