Team deathmatch
Have you played Call of Duty 1 TDM? Players always spawn close to the group of their teamates, usually in the same building. This makes sure that there's always a frontline and they always fight as a team. Would be great if such a mode was in PR for 16-player maps. 16 player maps are currently not popular. I think I've found a sollution for them.

Re: Team deathmatch
skrimish should only be used for seeding servers, and clan matches(which they are) .. not public play. with most of the maps being less than 200m (guess) there is no need for this.

Re: Team deathmatch
No thanks.
Skirmish/ 16 player maps are perfect right now. Rally points serve the purpose of supplying the fromt line with men. If they're too close to the enemy, they get 'over-run' and you have to walk the short distance from main. This means the enemy can actually cut you off without having to worry about you spawning behind them or whatever.
This works totally fine, we don't need forward spawn points that, as Welshie has said, would make it like being able to spawn on the squad leaders which would be another step back towards Karkand inf style action...

Wut? You mean like 16 player maps in PR where everyone on the same team can spawn at the main base? :d uh:mp5punk wrote:i like the idea, kinda like cod4 there just a small map not even a km like half and everyone on the same team spawns at the same spot.

PR should have nothing in common with any call of duty game.

like i, smeg and Shor0999 said... skirmish maps are fine and to small for this. it would become very spammy.

i guess theres a few things i wish PR had that cod4 has. like leaning. some of the effects are kinda cool too like the tracers and the smoke. thats about all i can really think of though. that game was such a joke imo.gazzthompson wrote:i wish we could be able to have some things in common... just because cod4 is mentioned dosnt mean "unrealistic !!/1/1?!.123,l2,3lkm4k2!!!"2!!!! It's an "ok" game if you want a quick fix I suppose, never appealed to me though.

You spawn behind enemy lines in COD4.mp5punk wrote:i like the idea, kinda like cod4 there just a small map not even a km like half and everyone on the same team spawns at the same spot.

Re: Team deathmatch
I myself don't realy think this is toooo necsasary, but it would be fun. I do think there should be this gamemode, that way even if you don't like it you just don't have to play that gamemode.
And yeah I've played cod 1, 2 and 4 team deathmatch, if you realy want to get in it, whatabout just death match or free for all?!?

Re: Team deathmatch
Please, don't talk about Call of Duty 4 here.

Call of Duty 4 is Cute Fuzzy & Dandelions and only Butterflies and teddybears play it. And It's pretty much the same story wiht CoD2 and CoD5. = only some small soulless boring maps without any character.
CALL OF DUTY 1 UNITED OFFENSIVE however, is different. In some factors it's actually comparable to Project reality
- 2-3 shots to kill enemy
- Huge maps - Kharkov, Foy, Sicily, Ponyri, Kursk, Rhinevalley
- transport vehicles, tanks, stationary cannons/flaks, artillery
- deployable machine guns
- realistic iron sights, similar to those in PR, realistic recoil
- no hit indicator
Mind you this game was released in 2004 and it's still the best Call of Duty ever made. It wasn't even made by Infinity Ward or Treyarch - they suck Marshmallows
It was actually made by Gray Matter - these people know how multiplayer mechanics work.
This game is so great and has so fantastic features that even PR could take a lesson as I suggested. Forget Bia and other shit that we are being thrown at these days.
You can FEEL, you can clearly FEEL that TODAY, GAMES just aren't made with PASSION ANY MORE. The developpers have very limited amount of time, they work under a lot of stress, everything is run by mismanaged publishers rather than PEOPLE who want to make a great game.
If you want something made with passion and attention to detail, you have to get a good mod like PR or some indy game or an older game like CoD: United Offensive.
