Musings on Civi problem killers/lovers

Post by {UK}Suzeran »

I wish we had more civis that could transform into but VERY SLOWLY out of insurgent mode ???
Why not just have that?

You already do, AFAIK. If a civi uses his medi gear, he becomes "fair game" for a minute, and the shooter isn't penalised if he caps one.

I think hes trying to say He wishes INS could very slowly drop there gun on the ground and become a civi then go back to a cache and become a INS again slowly.

thats what im sayin maybe it takes 20 secs dancing or praying (is that out of line?) , EITHER THAT OR
all spawn as civi so u can just run around using ure cell phones chatting to cell leader, also a civi. Then when a plan is fixed HAZAA civis break into haji mode but once you choose to go sunni or shia or al quaeda ure gunna not only wear a tea towel but take like 30 secs prone to change back or have to head to a cache to change back. Also cell leader shud be civi so he can just walk around. I was toying with u cant even arrest a civi only a insurgent or transforming civi who will like have half a towel ON OR BE PRAYING OR SUMMMIN

Perhaps a 'Civilian' kit that can be requested at all times, and after a certain amount of time (2-3 minutes) you become a non-target for the Coalition. This way, you have the immediate visual protection of being a civilian, but prevents Insurgent players from abusing the kit by allowing them to be arrested or shot for the couple minutes following the transition.

Example: An Insurgent marksman is firing on Coalition troops. As the coalition forces approach, the marksman dashes into a nearby building. Moments later, two civilians emerge from the building.

Now, if the Coalition troops are savvy, they might remember the rest of the clothes that the marksman was wearing, and make the decision to engage the 'civilian', or they may decide the potential loss of life is not worth it, and let the potential insurgents prance along their merry way.

Unfortunately, the code governing this is broken right now and bluefor will always be punished for shooting civis.

Which is much more realistic. Hague convention rules state something about firing on medics (ie. you are not allowed too). Combat medics also have very specific rules to follow as well. Maybe they should be fair game for 10 seconds. One minute is a LOOOONNNNGGG time.

Good, they all shoot indiscriminately anyway due to the massive penalties for civvy deaths.
