A direct layout from Steel Thunder should be fine.
SocketMan;986312']Duckhunt makes great maps -as long as Rhino fixes it before release

lol, glad someone recognises it
We have really only Kashan desert, since Quinling is in a sense a failed map atm (No offense Rhino
).
hehe none taken, I agree for the most part it didn't turn out the way I had planned, tried something new and simply didn't work so just gotta learn by it
My next 4km map wont have the same mistakes

How about something more based around boats? =) I'd love to see everyone get new boats... Everyone uses the same boats o.oDr2B Rudd wrote:I like maps to cater to a particular strategic vehicle.
e.g. Barracuda is clearly about choppers
qwai is about using choppers etc to manouvre or heavy vehicles to hold the line.
The vehicle that is under represented imo because of its lack of numbers on most maps it is featured in is the jeep. So I'd like maps/layers catering to particular vehicles, especially light skins (or just take out the trans trucks?)

Bi Ming is good for boats....LithiumFox wrote:How about something more based around boats? =) I'd love to see everyone get new boats... Everyone uses the same boats o.o
but really, river patrol boats are not that fun from what I've seen, BFV tried to do it and from what I saw no one used them even on maps that had rivers as the main waterways since everyone just used the helis for transport and firepower, boats where far too venerable from what I saw but tbh, I never really tried them so can't say much from that point of view, more from what I just saw and have played from BF2, PR etc.
Boats are really just best used for quick transport.

Re: What type of maps do you want more of?
maps where even the dumbest noob team has a chance.
Means: no helis, no vehicles like tanks, no jets, no big distances that need to be travelled by truck.
kashan and qinling are awesome maps really, but playing them is often a test for my nerves...
with all those transport squads waiting in the mainbase XD
Yes so basically skirmish, just a bit bigger
So Maps like Asad khal and Tad Sae!
Also more flags please with some rewards when taking it. Currently the flags are not important at all because you have to cap out the enemy completly and this doesnt happen often...

Re: What type of maps do you want more of?
The variation in PR maps is great although personally I prefer CQC stuff, epic battles every 5 mins or so between groups of squads fighting over outposts.
What I'd like is some more specialised servers, as you get on vanilla. There's already a couple of insurgency ones but my ideas were :
Urban AAS - Ejod, Asad Khal, Muttrah, Sunset City
Insurgency - Basrah, Fallujah, Ramiel, Archer
Medium / Forested - Fools Road, Mestia, Tad Sae, Kyongyan'Ni, Qwai, Bi Ming, Ghost Train
Large scale / Open - Quinling, Jabal, Kashan, Al Kufrah
That's what I would love in PR. It would also help clans to practise more specifically without having to just do training or SP. Just one dedicated server to be set up for each type of map would be great for PR imo, rather than just having 15 or so live servers running almost identical rotations.

A urban map in the style of Fallujah, but 2x km size, and with USA v.s MEC would be a pretty sweet city map. I do in general think that future city maps has to be big like Muttrah in order to be fun and interesting to play. At least for AAS.

I think it's about time to introduce a new Mao Valley.
For those who didn't play back in the days - it's a sunny jungle-map with lots and lots of high grass and swampy areas and as the name implies, it's a valley.
Pretty please?

Yeah, some competition maps. EX A snowy "grand canyon" with snipers on each side. A desert-stormish tank battle (Maybe include an A-10 or apache, but thats it save for tanks).nick20404 wrote:Needs more awp map.
Or a 4x4 sea map with 2 carriers per team plenty of attack air craft, ya its noobish but it would be fun for a mess around map/ training map.

Re: What type of maps do you want more of?
I had a boat squad on Road to Kyongan'Ni we patrolled the river up and down all map with the boats and we did pretty good we took out 2 trucks going across the US bridge and killed a **** load of people walking along the river. Boats are nice when used correctly but it would be nice if they were updated to serve a more important role and increase the armor and weapons on them.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Bi Ming is good for boats....
