Aw - nevermind.

One of the DICE guys told me this a while back :
The limit has been set because of stability and server hardware loads when its increased. The value is hard coded to prevent this being modified. As you can imagine the more players we have the more unstable the servers become and we have a lot of issues we have to address getting 64 players stable. In the near future we don't have plans to unlock this option but in the future it could be something we look at again.
Maybe one day they'll unlock it.

EA should just unlock it already. peoples hardware is vastly superior now to what was available in 05 when bf2 came out.

If patch 1.5 is released then perhaps it'll happen then. Although I'll be unable to stand the influx of 100-man Karkand nadespam centres. Maybe it'll push people to more PR on the next release...

actually i don't see why the don't unlock it - its not as if they had to use 110 players on vBF2 servers. just let the mods use it - if they find a solution and can run it stable then why not. if it doesn't work then there just won't be any servers for that many players.

Even servers whit 110 players.. people will buy BF2 again.. and they will gain money.. then they will say "PR u are awsome.. ill give u faztorpesz and the source code"... i hope

i agree, however from EAs point of view i imagine they dont want tons of upset vbf2 players complaining that only the mods get 100+ people server. so they would have to make it work for everything not just mods, and im sure they dont want the to do that, i mean its EA come on.

EA is the evil empire of the gaming world and DICE has slowly become it's *****.

find a good hacker to break into the engine and have the PR team go into hiding to avoid law suits or declare a jihad of some sorts against them.
If a bomb lands 20 feet from your position, then I'm coming around for another shot.
