Or if you the PLAYER knows what you are doing you counter the recoil as you fire buy pulling down on the mouse. There have been many times ive been killed by using single shot, even if I get hits on target, its better to put as many on target as fast as possible. (burst full auto) for close range stuff in game.'[R-PUB wrote:maverick']no...and if you 'panic pull' on burst you will end up firing into the air very quickly...recoil

i have 1 of the buttons on my mouse for switching the fireing modes on my main weapon. so when i get into a close arear i quickly switch it into burst/auto depedning on what the gun has, auto is better. so as i get into a open spot again i switch it into semi again, this means that if i meet any 1 up close i allready have the weapon in auto, and just need to aim point blank and spray. What auto/burst was ment forSiN|ScarFace wrote:Or if you the PLAYER knows what you are doing you counter the recoil as you fire buy pulling down on the mouse. EDIT: also scar is right if you pull down on the mouse it helps counter the recoil. But i only use this if im shooting at LBs ect. If im in auto i dont really use my iron sights as its all point blank stuff mainly. I some times use my irons when in bust/auto depending on range and the target (if hes still on not)

How to do you assign the switch ROF to your mouse, just assign the weapon spot to it?
Also, on a side note it would be nice to have seperate buttons for each setting instead of having to cycle.
Im no soldier, but the M16 burst seems slower then it should be. In real life it has always seemed to release the bullets faster then appears in teh game. Im not talking about the difference in classes either.

i just assinged 1 of my mouse buttons to "3", then i just push that button when i want to switch fireing mode. also i have middle mouse as 4 (nades) and other buttons for other things, so i can quickly sqitch to nades, then back to my m16
but i mainly use the 3 button on my mouse to change fireing modes.

This bothers me because well, it's a pretty stupid comment.'[R-PUB wrote:maverick']Its a medic- his first duty is to be a top battlefield medic not proficient in weapons use. I'm not saying he will be awful but I do believe he should be disadvantaged with regard to the assault class.
1. ANY US marine combatant had to qual with the M16.
2. a combat medic is not a surgeon, it just means he can treat minor injuries on the move, he's straight infantry with a touch of medical knowledge. Believe me when i say he has ample marksmanship abilities, every bit as good as the assault trooper.

I was talking about MEC but even if I wasn't, the medic will not have the same level of proficiency as an assaultman and onto of that, the medic in the field has a very high level of knowledge, at least in the British army and can perform minor operations/bullet removal/arterial clamping to keep someone alive.
