Something i don't quite understand???

Post by JohnTheRipper »

No the sniper rifles us the 7.62mm and the .308 which from what i saw in picture look really the same, but someone i don't understand about that is why the G3, Lee Enfield, some marksman rifles like the m24 and the armor machine guns kill in one hit like the sniper rifles even thou they are using the same ammo.

can someone clear this up for me because it just doesn't make any sense in my head.
If a bomb lands 20 feet from your position, then I'm coming around for another shot.
P.S. Sorry that I missed the first time.

The G3 uses 7.62x51mm NATO.

Pretty sure the Lee enfield uses the .303.

M24 - 7.62 × 51 mm NATO, .300 Winchester Magnum, and .338 Lapua Magnum (M24A3)

still they are roughly the same size.

also i mean the main gunners secondary machine gun which fires the 7.62mm round well atleast according to the hud.

You mean that they DONT kill in one shot even though they use the same ammo? And the M24 is a sniper rifle, not a marksman rifle.

I've not touched a sniper rifle for very long, but I thought it would not even kill in one hit (head excluded of course)?

Well I know .338 Lapua is a dual purpose anti material and an anti personnel round, which makes it all hte more deadly

They may be chambered in the same caliber, but that does not mean they're using the same ammunition. A good example is the Mk12 (No longer in-game), which while chambered for 5.56x45 --the same cartridge used in the M16, M4, M249 etc-- is fielded with Mk262 ammunition, which is far more lethal than the standard M855.
