Interested.
Haven't witnessed it being used between squads or noticed the positional element yet but the sound quality is great and came in useful when my in game VOIP wasn't working.

Re: Checking for interest - Mumble night
iGi members will be on hand to prevent any tardery with force center.
Be aware this is how it works, even experienced players (LP cough cough) don't seem to get this concept.
There are 3 channels
SLs - team 1
SLs - team 2
and the main channel (where most people will be)
Using your normal Push to Talk button (red lips) you will talk to the people within 70 meters, and they will do the same to you. (ofc at 70 they will sound quiet)
Using Force center (Green lips) you will talk to EVERYONE in your channel. DO NOT USE THIS IN THE MAIN CHANNEL. If you do, you will be forcing admins to remove you. Use Force center ONLY IN THE SL CHANNELS (like a radio).
p.s. you need to set a Force center button in settings -> shortcuts to be an effective SL.
As squad leaders, you will hear the radio chatter of all the squad leaders, so keep your communiques concise and to the point.
e.g.
"sq 1 from sq 2 over"
"sq 1 copies"
"require APC transport to bravo 3 kp 2 over"
"Sq 1 on the way"
then when the APC arrives, you can stop using the SL channel and use push to talk
Don't pull a welshboy and ask in force center "any targets for the choppers?"

On topic: It would be great if we got a full server with everyone on mumble. Always wanted that to happen since mumble first got "discovered."

Re: Checking for interest - Mumble night
if I'm around I'm up for some sorta "Teamwork night"
Would defiantly encourage more EU players to use mumble, right now its mainly only the NA guys who use it
get a time and date sorted and I'll see if I can make it, and if I can get some of the RGG nubs to tag along

They are a very close community so its much easier for them. Biggest problem about the EU servers etc is the huge language barrier between each country, although most Germans etc do speak pretty good English its still a problem.Jedimushroom wrote:Has anyone else noticed that the BigD Australian mumble server is ALWAYS full?

I use the default skin, so there *sticks tongue out*Shor0999 wrote:Unless Ruddy doesn't have the pr skin because he is too lazy![]()
One of the other problems about mumble in pubbing is that alot of clans want to go on their own teamspeak, or their own mumble server rather than the centralised server. (which I understand, before mumble iGi would sit on our private TS server for SL coms) But some of those clans do use a public server for that rather than a private one, would be nice to see them join the mumble.
