Certainly a very good start. Speed needs to be adjusted to look more fluent and real, maybe a few more errors in movement (like collision against the side of the mag well. I can't imagine that soldiers can always reload perfectly in a combat situation as they do in training).

Do you mean for the collision when the the mag is pulled out because i was trying to have it where he kinda presses the button but my rig is a bit odd

Look, when the new mag goes in in your animation, it goes straight in perfectly without any interference. If someone spent their entire life reloading the L85A2, their best magazine-insert would look like the one in your animation.

A reload with small errors make it seem more believable when you watch it. Nobody does it perfectly every time, and nobody is going to believe it when they see it.

Mmm, good to see some new blood getting interested in BF2. You've got the fundamentals right, such as the notion that every action has a reaction so to speak. A few things I'd like to see you improve on are timings, like getting a good rhythm to your actions, some actions like slapping the release or tapping the forward assist are actions that require a degree of force, so hence the action before the hit is slower and more deliberate.

Another thing is try to put some life into your hands, especially in the last section when the bolt release and assist are tapped. The wrist and fingers seem to be stuck in the same pose for the entire time, which makes it look extremely robotic.

Replicating realistic movement without motion capture is an extremely hard thing to grasp, but with practice and like any artist, using tonnes of reference materials and simple observation, you can improve.

great to see skills like these being developed in the community, i basicly got the same criticism as chuc, the hands and fingers are very robotic in the end and kills the immersion, except for that it looks stunningly good after such a short amount of time.

A very good start I'd say and have got nothing new to say. I guess Chuc said it all. Was especially surprised you did the every action has a reaction thing so good :)

and lol at the force reload! If only..... :P
