Yes.
Get online at a busy time (saturday/sunday between 16.00 and 00.00 for EU servers or during the week 21.00 - 03.00 for NA servers) and you will usually see at least 10 full servers with many many more partially or approaching full.
PR currently has more regular players than all of the EA made expansion packs/add ons put together afaik, and is pretty much the most popular mod around for any game.

Nah .856 is the old version, the rest of us are all playing a newer secret version.

Yes the current version is .856
There are plenty of servers, though iirc there are some technical difficulties people experience which stop them seeing some of the servers.
