PR STATS

Post by Acemantura »

Hey Lads, Ace Here with a not so new Idea.

PR Stats

While I was thinking about it last night I thought to myself, well that would just increase the amount of inbred, one-eyed, hackers. But then I thought, lets just get rid of the Kill count, accuracy meters, and Points meter. I just want wins/losses, medals (with (a) new criteria/(ion) for award), and earned medals for truly training.

The wins and losses, I think, should be accompanied by average teamwork score, this creates a new way to find a correllation between the two, and I believe people will start to see that correllation.

The Medals Portion will allow People, and the player, to see the player's strong points and weaknesses, a great tool to keep track of a well-rounded player and a specialist of some type. I for one, will try to stick to Infantry, and well round that area. I am tired of either finding jackasses in my squad who dont know how to use their assigned kit, who tell me, "Yeah I know how to use that kit," and end up blowing themselves up with an RPG or LAT.

Medals for Training. There is a great oppourtunity for our SP-Dev's to create scenarios for Training based upon the map given. If a player suceeds in the training scenario, they get their bronze, and move on to the next scenario. This could especially be great for squad and squad leader training on a Server (CO-OP scenarios).

I really want a way of rewarding good, teamworking players in PR, and to increase the playerbase. I truly believe that this would be an excellent way of doing both.

Plus I miss the excitement of those snare drums playing every time I earned a medal. Oh and My First Badge: Meritorious Sevice Ribbon on Sharqi.

Well you can never get rewarded for being patient, or doing favors for your SL by going all across a map to get a truck, etc. So no one would pick me because I dislike doing 1337 stuff. You know when you've done something good and your squad mates know it. You don't have to get medals and ribbons for everything you do, it won't separate players because it isn't very hard to earn them, as the point system will never know what patience is etc, only how many kills and so many things all other games focus on. Let BF2 keep it.

Agreed with Gore on this one. It would be nice for yourself. So you have some stuff to "unlock" but for your example of an ingame squad-leader it will be useless. I Dont think you will alt-tab out of the game and looking up all your squad-members so you can dish out the kits accordingly.

If you ask who has a medal in one area people can just say: I do without you even knowing they havent.

I would look up all my squad members stats, so long as they were all there before the 2:30 mark, it would be done.

Its just to see acheivements, not points or stats.

Yea I understood that :) That part is good. But its useles imo. I certainly wont be checking them out. I have other things to do in those 2:30 when Im squad-leading. like using teamspeak to maybe see where the others are going, talking to my squad-members and working out a plan.
