Any other BF2 mods that are as good as PR?

I think you have to start it tho the shortcut to fix the black and white iron sight problem.

Are there any other BF2 mods out there that are worth downloading? It would be nice if we could make a list here.

I don't want to be a negative nancy; but unlike other games the BF series has *always* had limited uptake on mods for some reason. Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of excellent mods (DC, EoD, Galactic Conquest, FH1; Recruit Snyder's BFV, POE; FH2), but finding a fully (or even partially) populated server for them can be a massive headache - most of the communities tend to be very geographically limited, which means you'll only find servers even remotely populated at peak times. PR's an animal apart in that, like Desert Combat, it has a very enthusiastic global community that mean you're likely to find at least one heavily populated server at any time.

Forgotten Hope 2 is a good mod. The maps and models are very detailed however they are all desert currently (A normandy campaign is coming up). Especially the planes are great fun to fly and not has hard to get as in PR.

However, the general realism is at a much lower setting and there is a much lower level of teamplay compared to PR. But if you are tired of PR slow methodic gameplay (if that is possible!) go try FH2 for a crossover between BF1 WW2 arcade and PR attention to detail. Oh, and dont mention that you like PR better on their forums..

Really old people lack the ability to see in color but it is not talked about much to not stigmatize them..

If we can see in color and old people can't... then why do we still see the videos in BandW like old people and not in color like we are suppose to?


Oh and i installed forgotten hope 2... and played it a bit. Then i went to open PR and i think it's broke! I get kicked out of every server after 3 mins saying something about a corrupt file/memmory.

FH2 DOES break PR. Fixable by simply applying the key settings again I think.

Well, last time I tried it it broke the in-vehicle views and some other things. That was pre 0.85 though, maybe the Dev's of any of the two mods have changed that, sorry in that case.

Assault mod is great for Single player,have not seen better accuracy for the (handheld) weapons.It also uses 64p (you and the 63 bots) not much online action
however.Can be very punishing on the hardware,(all the bots use up the cpu power)
I like USI too, really cool assets (with zoom in,like PR ) - not many MODs have that.

Been there, done that....

There was problems with this in the past. Try to put all game settings back on default... and use different game accounts for both mods... it helps (probably)

I get kicked after 3 mins of gameplay with a punkbuster error saying

coruppt file/memmory...


It's not punkbusters fault. It still sucks thou.
