As for speeds. In most cases. It will pick-up has you get connected to the faster seedboxs.

I don't currently have BF2 installed, but I downloaded this anyway thinking it would just be the files.

If I install BF2 and then move the created folders into the proper place, will this work or will I have to re-download?

Yes that will work. Move the files into the right folder IE: "Battlefield 2\mods\pr and then re-run the installer so that it can hash check and adds the desktop short cuts.

Yesterday I get max 120kb/sec, with drop to 50kb/sec. It was around 5 hours downloading and then the setup was corrupt. I stayed calm and today I try downloading again, Only 1 hour remaining! Around 500kb/sec, I know that isn't very fast, but its better then 80kb/sec.

I started yesterday at 3pm... last time i checked it was around 1am and it was at about 70%. I guess it finished around 5.

Ok. So the mad rush of release day has passed. And out of the that. 149 pepole completed the download. From going on what you guys have posted. 8 of you said it was slow. And only 1 of you had a problem.

The guy the with problem never got back to me. So I could not find out what happened. I Am guessing he may have had a screwed up Windows registry.
Of the guys that said it was slow. There was a few factors that would/could have caused that.

Here is the list of what they could have been.

My Seedboxs did not have enough connections available per peers. This is a failing on my part and the fact it cost lots of money to have a seedbox with the ability to have 1000,s connections.

Your PC's or network firewall and or router is/was blocking the program or port 6881.

You ISP is capping the torrent protocols. Some ISP's throttles the torrent protocol traffic as they seem to think everybody uses it for illegal downloads.

The Conclusion is, That the system works. But it has drawbacks. I Will look into how to improve this.

Worked flawlessly!

This is especially nice as I usually can't run torrents due to not having access to the router. I think it used the full capacity of my downstream, it's a great application!

Oddsodz, do you reckon there's any scope to make it so your program has the capacity to download certain files to certain locations?

Was thinking that if your program gets a bit more widespread use then it could potentially be used for small updates to files and such, that'd probably give the DEVs the chance to give us some minor updates/bug fixes and maybe small amounts of additional content inbetween major releases with ease.

Obviously whether the DEV team would wanna start doing that is another matter, but if they were interested it'd be a pretty cool way of rectifying little things that get missed in testing and the odd map or whatever to keep things fresh perhaps.

To make into an "updater" is very easy really. I Don't really need to touch the app itself. Just have to make a new torrent with the new files in place and then tell the world the run the app again. Very simple really.

This project is now offline

I Have some stuff to sort out with my server and I can't continue to support this project. I Wish to keep it going but I just don't have the resources to keep it up.

So untill I can lay my hands on a server with some extra bandwidth this is going off line.

I Would like to thank all of you that used this program and gave me feed back. Out of all of you that used it. Only 1 user had an issue. Not bad really I think.
