Couldn't hurt I guess, but it would have to be very slow and very vulnurable to ground fire or even laser guided air attacks. Shouldn't be much of a gamebreaker for infantry as long as the gun is facing backwards with only 180 degrees of turning radius and has **** elevation.

I think everyone should not act like wierd techies have never been built. Improvised weapons are always built in war time so I can see anything being mounted on a pick up truck or any platform.
This was a general electric train modified with AA, anti tank gun, ETC , armor etc. It was called krajina express in balkan conflict. It was built buy Republika Srpska Krajina Paramilitary force. Not convention army.

wtf, it looks like an M18 Hellcat or M36 Slugger turret fitted on that train.

In WWI they already mounted weapons (including heavy artillery) on trains...

krajina express was in the 90s. Yes its an M18 hellcat destroyer that was given to the JNA (Yugoslav army) in 70s (maybe sold by us or gift IDK) then obtained by paramilitary . . A10 would not have faired well because the train had AA from MANPADS and also 20mm cannons. During the time the opposing faction had mig 21 stolen from JNA or sold from East germany (not to mention NATO warplanes so A10/ f16 in operation) and the train succesfully operated for almost 4 years. The point is, I think insurgent in PR should get better weapons because they would have improvised much more than just an MG techie.
They should have AA , I also have footage of Paramiltary using AA against infantry in balkans mounted on flatbed trucks.
WHats fair is fair, and ins already are going up against a professional army with million dollar armor, it is only fair that we give ins AA pickups/rocket pod and in addition more scoped weapons. I mean really the insurgents can buy a 20 dollar china scope IRL, they move enough opiates and hash, they work suprsingly well for 4x scope IRL. I mean PR is about reality and gameplay and I think more people would take insurgent much more serious when playing if they had some more firepower. Too many peope just lone wolf because they see no strength in a group of INS because they are just iron sight pedestrians right now.

i think a transport technical is needed ... i never saw pictures of insurgents transporting troops in common vehicles... its always some kind of crappy truck or a pickup...
the insurgent ammo car could be edited to fill this role.
it's an pain in the *** transporting a full squad in a piece of **** that can't stand a little heat and can only stay on the road.
i expect that insurgents will get a little love in version 1.0...
insurgents hate crappy cars ! that's why they blow then up with bombs all the time
i would not even carry my chickens in something like this ahaha

If the quad was place on the back of a big red and the big red drove poorly (bad acceleration, etc) then might it be viable then?

i think we sould give a zpu-2 techie who can only shoot from the rear with a 20 burst round for each shoot and a reload time of 20 second it would be hard to use it but when you have coordinaton and skilled driver it would be effective but not overpowered

I think an AA techie is a must. Either some pickup or even an Ural and we can have only one not to unbalance the game.

Transport Techie ...since is the vehicle of choice for most insurgents all over the world.

for attack we got the rocket techie , that's even more than i thought we would get... but insurgents need a decent transport vehicle... the clown car as main transport vehicle is terrible... no insurgent in the world would use it as their main transportation system... when seeing insurgents on the move pickups are always the majority.

What ever happened to the Zeus mounted on the ammo techie ? There is a thread somewhere in the modding forums, and I saw a picture of what looked like a nearly completed model.
BEHOLD: I remembered the thread:

I think we should implement the AA techie to Iraq INS or Taliban ASAP! It really gets annoying having chopper after chopper gun down your Stinger guys..
Hilux + ZPU-2 = Win
BMP-1 Turret+Hilux=Win?
M35 or Ural + ZPU-4 = Win?

PR's Technicals are too small to put a AA cannon on the back unfortunately.
Ural truck + new ZU-23-2 is on it's way though
