We made that decision backed up by our military advisers. It's fine how it will be in 1.0, nough said.

If I may, as a passionate rifleman in PR I have rarely ever used the knife as infantry. It's too risky and rarely do you get away with it because if that soldier has mumble they are just going to blab away to 5 pissed off people with big guns negating that 'steath' element unless your an escape artist. Second are the realism issues with body armor and how hard it is to knife someone. Lastly, take into consideration the size of the maps and the Evade and Escape you guys keep throwing around. On 4km jet maps, if your doing it right, your first priority is to Evade enemies and find your way through to blues. The size of the map means that you probably won't get caught and you could always call for help over mumble or chat. Hell even I avoid fighting as inf when I can because its eaiser.
