squad hopping dosent take any skill to do ect. Its a exsploite and its really crappy that clans use it. Thank god EA are fixing it for there next patch (with any luck).

You should learn to value your squad leader and keep him alive.

Almost every game I see someone say

'OMGWTF SPORN TIME TAKIN 4EVA!!!1'
'Did you change your squad while you were dead? That adds 30 seconds to your timer.'
'oh yeah, oops kk'

Or something along those lines. People should really read the readme. :)

People will never, ever read any documentation or readme. It's a sad fact and a grateful one as the reply is a given; "RTFM, punk!" or "RTFRM, punk!"

Also next time, join the TC Teamspeak server ;)
Well, at first I was playing with my friend Drew (Fadedignity) and Derek (CodeFZero) and some EJOD people, so I was at drews house just talking to him and I was on TS with the people who hopped on TC. Then when it was just me and Drew, we couldnt get on the same team you guys were on, and its pointless being on TS when you arent on the sameteam, too much chatter. Then when i WAS on TS with you guys, I was trying to talk to my gf at the sametime. So just a mess. Then, everyone was just using VOIP which was going quite well =)

and i hate squad hopping. im glad it isnt used AS much now and it puts more effort into teamwork.

i dont know what's the deal with ts, i love the VOIP system, it works perfectly for me. here on brazil it is much more used than ts, although we use a lot ts, but just for clanbats

I prefer Vent more than TS but TS is free to run on my server where Vent i would have to rent anouther server... :(

Also i use 2 sound cards, i use 1 for windows and ingame sounds, and the other for TS/vent so that the game sounds come through my speakers and i hear every 1 talking through my 1 piace head set.

This is good for TS/Vent cos u can set it up to do this, but for the ingame VOIP you cant... I might get a deskmic sorted for it thou soon.

But TS is good all round program for talking if every one uses it.

My thoughts.

Really loving the new game modes. Choice is everything in this world, and it really adds something different to PR.
The Maps are great. I like the way you've chopped off all of the rubbish vanilla maps and have replaced them with some brilliant additions from the custom mapping community :)

The universal standards in server settings has worked well. No more servers with awful respawn times.

The revision of the kit system seems to be working out well. I've noticed a lot less SAW merhcants, but perhaps that is becuase they are all trying out their uber silenced sniper rifle ;)

The night maps really add to the immersion of the game. However I still think work needs to be done on the lighting. Its still not dark enough in my opinion, and the US forces stick out like Road Maintenance workers. I think everyone should be forced to wear night vision :D

I'm not to fussed about the new weapons. The Pistol has the same sound as the vanilla one, but damn it looks sexy. The SUV is great to drive, really feels like one.

Faster respawn time.. please...

I mean, I don't mind waiting a while. But don't make me ferry people back and forth over and over again... and when people do stupid things with the littlebird, it just... urk...

Btw, you're right. No one reads the readmes anymore. Some korean guy wouldn't get out of the littlebird to speed up flag capping, and we got blown up by a vodnik... Twice.

Server admins should still be free to adjust respawn times to whatever they like. We've simply adjusted the defaults.

Several frustrations after a night of playing PRMM 3 last night;

1 Only one or two servers were running 64 player maps and they had terrible pings so that I was automatically kicked with pings of over 300
2.I know Mutrah is a cool map but really its not the only map. Please, can we rotate maps? Personally I've never thought much of carrier based assault maps. They're the least realistic of all the scenarios. Even when Marines land from LSP carriers, it's nothing like this folks..
3.Maybe the gunshots and sounds of bullets rippign through the air should revert to the vanilla versions? The new sounds are not at all directional, with certain guns always sounding like they're 5 yards away. I just can't orient myself towards gunfire as accurately as I did in Vanilla BF2.
4.I've yet to play an extraction game...
5.How long do I have to stay by an enemy flag to capture it...damn, the things won't even move for me or my squad mates.

Thats a shame but I think 32 sized maps are just as fun!

You're right but I think it adds a bit of excitement and a different slant to game play.

Hmm I find the reverse true. In vanilla everything is so over exagerated that you think an enemy is 10 yards away when in fact he is bunkered up 70 away! I think you need to look at your sound system or headphones becuase on PRMM i play with Creative HS-400 headphones and know very quickly where the shooting is at.

Was the map AAS? If it was it is likely you were not at the right flag.

After almost 3 days of playing 0.3 here is what I think of it. Things I like: Extraction mode, BUT there must be a good balance between the amount of players and the map size. I think playing this game mode with 30 players is the most balanced and then it's very fun. 8)

I only played Single Objective once because almost no servers are running it. But there was many people who didn't know what to do so it became an unorganised chaotic battlefield haha. But I enjoyed it. But I have a question: what is the point of capping other flags in this game mode? Will it affect the ticket bleed or is it just to use those flags as spawnpoints?

I like it that the commander is back. I like it that only squadleaders can request artillery and suply drops now. I like the class changes, the way eningeers are now more effective (I made some dirty boobytraps with the new big c4 bomb) and my favourite class (assault) is now more usefull with ammo bags. I am sure there are more changes I like which I forgot. :-D

Things I don't like: That everytime I die a second will be added to the "you where killed" time, I don't see the point of it. And lately I get spawnraped a lot on AAS maps so this is very frustrating.
And the most annoying thing (in my opinion) is still in the game: going prone and have perfect accuracy immediatly.
And I have the feeling the night vision is not working very good. I was playing Masthuur Night yesterday and I had better visibility when I did not have night vision on. And to be honest I think the night maps are ugly on the Battlefield 2 eninge, and also my computer can't handle the night maps it seems (I explained that in a thread about the new maps).

But generally I like the changes that has been made. :-D

turn your audio settings up to software high, and job done.

i agree with everything about the night maps. they look like dawn or dusk maps. i dont really have a feeling of night time. especially since hte NVG dont really seem to help things out too much. i feel safer with them off. im sure all these issues are being worked on anyways.

uhg i leave for work in a little bit, and i really, really, REALLY don't want ot go! i want to play more .3 =(

and i still havent played SOBJ =(!!!!

I don't like the night maps at all. Maybe if BF2 had more options for dynamic lighting, i.e. car headlights, flashlights and stuff it'd be more fun, but the idea of needing to use night vision to see is just annoying. It'd be alright if mixed maps existed, for example having dim lighting outside with dark, empty warehouses and other hidden dark areas so night vision isn't necessary it's just the best thing to do. Forgive me if such a map exists, I've only played the vBF2 night map conversions, Nightshift crashes my computer.

No the night maps are fine. It's just that its a little brighter than pitch black because the moon is out. Moonlight can be very bright.

agree about night maps. i can see perfectly on them, using nightvision got pointless, it gets worse than without it

just for the record, i loved the mp5 for the engineer! it strengthened a lil bit the kit, just the little it needed. the balance of kits used is very good, not too much medicwhores or atwhores or worse (like 0.25), supportwhores

im enjoying it A LOT!

oh, almost forgot
the bug of seeing friends as enemies and vis-a-vis is getting annoying to me, every time i play it happens. ive seen lots of times my squad have 7/6 soldiers :(
i was in mec today and saw a guy with mec uniform, but it was like an enemie to me. ok. i said "follow me!" and i hear "Roger that" in english :( i got scared an enemie was around, but it was my buddy who paged up :(
