You forgot testing and play testing to check the balance on every map it'll turn up on
Seriously though, ALOT more work goes into stuff like this then you might think from these threads, these models can get made in a month or so sometimes but alot more less visually appealing work goes on afterward.

yeah that's the sad part AnRK hehe, but it is necesary yeah

i can't wait till i get this thing done though

i still need to finish the model, uv (boring !!!) and then i may do the textures unless i can get one of our awesome texture people to do it which would really make this model shine

if anybody is interested send me a pm (even though it will take some time before it's ready)

okay todays work

as you might have noticed nothing much has happened today only the back door and some proportions have been added. this is unlike it might seem because of me actually having a personal life next to this and that i had exams and a major fuckup of a day tbh. but the modeling saved some of my mood though (even though it's taking my night sleep instead

)
but that's all for today motherdear out

gj!
how many hours it took you(in total)? whats your experience in modelling?

well so far i have used like 6 days on this and i estimate around 15 hours i believe maybe a bit more, today i only used like 1,5 hours because i had to extrude, rejoin, rescale and compare it to my ref images.
but i really aint that experience in modeling, i've been lurking around the forums for ages and began modeling things at around the same time as z-trooper did actually (within like a month) but i didn't get to do much stuff because of school and similar. but i did a boat here a while ago for the PLANM faction (still needs texturing) and then i made a major 3d scene with like 20 objects (wires, computer screens, blackboard, tables, chairs you name it) i had to model, uv and texture all this and it really have me a lot more skills and made me much much more efficient in model creation (just ask Z trooper he was following me doing this) and then 6 days ago i began on this baby

It looks expertly made, motherdear. I hope you bother to include an interior, however, as they add so much more to the overall experience, and you would get my all loving seal of approval

Isn't that what he's done too?
Seriously though really good work, coming along very nicely in a very short about of time. Give yourself a sodding break though man! Don't wanna work yourself to death so you can't make any more models for us

this is true, excellent work in such a short space of time thinking we could see this in 0.9 or even sooner now that 0.86 has been delayed
meanwhile tonnie's sig disappears like a ninja in the night only to be replaced by another (im loving this new one)

Besides the fact that everything is locked down for v0.86 right now, ie, only bug fixes and nothing more, it wouldn't be done in a few weeks with talking everything unless we had loads of expert modellers, uvers, skinners, exporters and coders working flat out over the next few weeks, which ehhh, we dont have people that can work flat out let along enough of them...
This will be doing very well to make v0.9 considering we only have one active vehicle exporter in the team that has a huge amount of work with other mods too.

Shame. I happen to have plenty of time on my hands, yet haven't the resources or knowledge to do such work. If I did I probably would be making things along the lines of this if I could. Although if I remember correctly, doing work like this takes a capable machine; something my 6 year old system may have a problem with.

ye i understand that i was just being optimistic
also...since the eta has been changed to 'in conjunction with patch 1.5' do you really think we'l see it in a few weeks, unfortunately i dont have any faith in Dice, hence i wasnt expecting to see 0.86 till late summer at the earliest

hehe thx tonnie

actually the work flow so far kinda reminds me of z-trooper but as he basicly is my mentor no wonder, but i actually am really surprised that i have enough knowhow to pull this together pretty much. but i can thank Z-trooper a lot, and my own will to learn this which isn't bad.
