If you pay for a second server, I'm sure they'll do it :D .

Trust that its been talked about, but adding a second server is not something we have any plans of doing in the near future.

TG did do that with Natural Selection, two 16 player servers.

What happened was all of the TG players ended up on the first server and the public players on the second, so the teamwork and game play was not equal between the two.

Part of the reason the TG PR server has such great teamwork is we are able to mostly fill it with TG regulars (the supporting members) because people get booted to let them in. If we had two servers then one would mainly have TG players and the second would not, which would not have the same level of teamwork as the first. It's related to people who complain about the SM kick, well the SMs that are causing the kick are the reason other people like playing there in the first place. If we had a second server it would be full of people complaining they couldn't get into the other TG server.

Hey, I played on the TG-server today, and I found a stupid MEC with his Sniper Kit in the middle of the Battlefield, so he was killed and the Squad Leader granted his kit.

Then I wrote in the main chat simply, "Thanks for the Sniper kit, MEC ;) ".

And I was kicked with a message in capital letters saying something about "Taunting" and "Now MEC will get their kit back". What was that all about? Are you not allowed to pick up kits now? I can't get into the server again because I just got kicked out, so I can't ask the admins.

Basically on TG making remarks such as yours are frowned upon and can easily result in a kick. There is no need for taunting your opponent by making remarks like that in all-chat, and it spoils the atmosphere and sense of maturity on the server.

In all probability, it is only a kick and you should be able to join again soon.

Also, this is not the place to query any kick/ban. You will need to go to the Tactical Gamer Forums, specifically the contact an admin section.

Jigsaw is spot on, the community requires mature play, including communications with the other team. Joking with the other team should not involve something that happened in game that was a boon to you, a loss to them or vice versa.

Hello, I have a question, last week I was playing Muttrah City as a MEC. Me and my squad were doing our job well, protecting West City, FOB, AA, and also took down a tank and a couple of snipers, beside a little bit of infantry.

Right after my squad kills the sniper (which shot 3 of my guys, and killed one of them, which was driving a vehicle), I get kicked for "taunting". What does this word means?

On the dictionary it says:
taunt1  /tɔnt, tɑnt/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [tawnt, tahnt] Show IPA
Use taunting in a Sentence
See web results for taunting
See images of taunting
–verb (used with object) 1. to reproach in a sarcastic, insulting, or jeering manner; mock.
2. to provoke by taunts; twit.

–noun 3. an insulting gibe or sarcasm; scornful reproach or challenge.
4. Obsolete. an object of insulting gibes or scornful reproaches.
(Taunting Definition | Definition of Taunting at Dictionary.com).

I said "SNIPER DOWN!" on chat because I was so happy (come on, my AR took him out in 1 shot, the sniper that shot 3 of my guys and made us scared, probably also shot some other MEC people).
Is saying "SNIPER DOWN!" not allowed? I know a lot of [TG] guys celebrate things like this, and I didn't see anyone getting kicked for saying "huey fail" (3 of them got shot down in the beginning :) )

Otherwise, great server, just some admins sometimes overdo on "rule following" (you are not doing what the admin (which is not the commander) is doing and so long, bye bye!)

Is quinling 32 part of the rotation on this server?

Great server, I have no idea how you get most people to use mumble without enforcing it.

A lot of players lead by example. When people see their squad leader talking to armor/pilots/transports/other squad leaders in a clear manner (usually facing each other a few feet apart) they are intrigued and want to find out more. People are also responsive for those that do use it so if anyone is annoying it gets dealt with and if someone needs help getting it set up several regular players are willing to stop playing to help get it going. Of course having a dedicated group that kept it in use until it hit critical mass helped.

With the multiple channels there is no taunting from the other team to drive people off, so the experience is all positives :)

Not sure on quiling 32, you can find out the server list at anytime in game by bringing down the console with ~ and typing 'maplist.list'. I think it is also posted in the PR forums on the TG site but I'm not positive that is current.

QinLing 32 is part of our rotation. It is quite popular with a lot of our dedicated mech-inf players and is a lot of fun.

Just don't type in global. Say that phrase to yourself or to your squadmates.

Or, I think that maybe the person on the other team thought you were trying to pick him up, or maybe he saw it as you hitting on him......the wink might have blown your cover.

I always try and see what players I can try and pick up, that's why I like using LOL, and a smiley face, nothing says "meet me in the house with the stairs so we can get to know one another" better than a LOL and a smiley face.

Thankfully TG seperate the teams in mumble, so you wouldn't be able to insult or talk to the enemy dead. Its much better for teamwork.

And causes more confusion...

Jut separate SL channels is all we need...
