If this had been stated at the outset I bet we would have avoided all this mess.We are trying to concentrate mostly on british basic equipment. Its been our priority from since the beginning of the mod.
- British got their optics first. Our priority #1. We were going to make a new L85 model anyway. Susat was just one more object model and texture.
- Type 95 got its optics second because we had to replace the AK quick.
- G3 is going to get theirs on 0.6. We had almost finished model already (from model to game takes still months)
- USMC will probably get their rifle with optics in 0.7.
On a lighter note, Hurray for C5 on Saturday/Sunday! Good hunting everyone!

They are quite small you know:Doom721 wrote:YIPEE YEEHAW WOOHOO New ironsightsI sorely dislike the M16 ironsights even though I feel somewhat confident with the gun, though its not my favorite... ( G3 go boom? )

could also look like:

Alot of leeway considering we don't have to worry about 3D sights. But, if they were 3d sights, the second would probably be the view (FOV 70 degrees, camera 1.5/2 inches from sight).

thats the long range iron sight. could you use the close range iron sight? you can just flip the sight to switch between them irl...
EDIT: on the second pic, the hole is way too small for the close range iron sight

Someone please tell me that the above is irony.

on the topic of the hollow point-
well a hollow point round has more expansion than a standard round, and it would be definately more effective in relation to stopping power. I dont think they would hollow out the round, more likely notch the tip.(i did this wit a few .308 rounds and they definately expanded more on impact than straight copper jacketed rounds.) jus dont let the JAG at the base camp find out, as im pretty sure hollow point rounds are "illegal" or something by the geneva convention. there was a case with a usmc sniper in the dustbowl having problems with their JAG for using "open pointed" 175gr smk's, causing some shit to hit the fan includin the sniper losin his job.
also, everyone should really stop cryin about the m16 and wait for it to get fixed in later patches. the dev's have already stated their intentions and we're not gonna get anywhere by whinin about it.

those are one of the most realistic ironsights that i ever seen...
the hole is right on its correct size (for longer engagements) for shorter ones, the hole isnt big deal compared with the long range ones, this is the same holes used on the galil (a mixed rifle with the ak47 mechanisms and the best sights ever designed) that is on servise on my country
CHEERS WITH THAT RIFLE!!
i have a question , this reskined m16 will gonna arrive .6 (PLEASE PLEASE CAN U??)
