I have this from time to time are not this file, if i have long time bf2 in the background then he kick me whit a level md5 7gates the most time. After reboot np no kick or some one else

At the moment i not check the levels from vanilla, only the core files

I played a few rounds yesterday with a really nice guy, who had a BUG, caused by downloading the game from EA, and I just don't get some of the posts in this thread, I think it would be better to try and find a way to make sure this is IMPOSSIBLE, instead of the regular "insta-kick-ban teh hack!"... I'm sure there are ways to make it fail safe, so that the sharers are always on.

Of course I do understand, I get equally pissed when people you think are supressed just turn around and shoot you.

translation:

on our server only the core files and not the vanilla files are being checked (if i understand schrotti correctly). he as well gets kicked if bf2 runs too long in the background.

There is a way to make it impossible - MD5 checks that are being done by PunkBuster. But that means that anyone who doesn't have the shaders gets kicked. Whether he disabled the shaders on purpose or not, PB can't tell.

I'm sure there is a way to fix it, I just need some help from people who actually do have the problem, otherwise I'm just cooking from pure water.

I could not find anything about this in the PR SERVER ADMIN section. Did anyone post about this over there? Maybe I just couldn't find it.

Anyway if not then someone should post the steps for all server admins to resolve this Like I said, maybe it's been done already and I just couldn't find it.

Oh, one more question. Would it be possible to obtain a master list of the servers that have this setup properly and those that don't? That way players would know (by checking here) before they go onto a server.

It's in the Private SA forums rico , only SA's can see it.

Next lets work out banning everyone who gets CTD's cause thats unfair advantage to tooo, BLAH

Giving us the kick reason would help sort this out...

@arn: Yeah, will try to reinstall 1.41.

edit: Reinstalling 1.41 apparently fixed it

Same problem (I had never problems until this, as you), but I dont want to reinstall, cause of other mods/games like AF, SF, FH2 I have. The 1.41 patch should be installed before them as I remember.....
So the guy with his unready md5 check dont let me play PR, maybe there are more people with such problems. But I will try to find pr-server without third party things, before I leave PR.

You can re-install the 1.41 patch over your current installation.

You really can't claim people are cheating by looking at the K/D ratio, they can be sniping or using SAW which bring lots of kills.

I am not refering to just one round, I said I play every day and I have noticed some very odd things about some players. When I asked other players about them they also said the same thing and I quote " It is amazing to be in their squad bacause they see things that are almost impossible to see." Now does this cheat only refer to the suppression effect or does it make your graphics different so you dont have all the details and such?

I will try - I LOVE this mod - And hopefully someone can help me play but I dont think its possible. I tried all the suggested fixes on this forum and others ( as this problem happens with FH aswell)

I have to run to work but i will post back later today with the exact kick and I would appreciate any help advice, just warning you i dont think its fixable.

Bosco or anyone else willing to help, you guys have teamspeak or vent server? Might make it easier to sort this out - if your willing.

Add me on Xfire (xboscox) or just post a screenshot of the kick message here, that should be enough to tell what the problem is.

The 1.41 patch should be installed before them as I remember.....

tales - mods are installed in a separat folder. Patch 1.41 only affects bf2-corefiles and files located in mods/bf2 and mods/xpack - all other mods stay unaffected.
You can always reinstall 1.41.

You are kidding right? Do you use pr.exe to start the game as required? Instead of wasting time to flame around - post a screenshot of your kickreason and a description which way to install you used and how you exactly start up pr - step by step - the more the better.

The Shortcuts from my mates having BF2 CompleteEdition via EA-Downloader run aswell BF2.exe - no other file.

The shortcut on desktop to start Bf2 target is:
