I agree with Arcturus, the urban area seems totally out of place. You could make a village with more villageous houses like the village in Al Basrah, that would fit better.

Arcturus_Shielder wrote:1st pic: I honestly think that you should scrap that idea. Such a tiny dense urban area in the countryside doesn't look right.

2nd pic: I like it, as long you make more room.
I started with the "centre" and working on making the "suburb" with lots of houses that will make it more belivable

I agree with Arc, that looks weird for afeganistan
I propose a really dense village with small huts, like there is in afeganistan, even add 1 modern building for interest, like in this pic:

I think something like this with really dense huts and tight alleys would be more fitting, interesting and different and not many pr maps have done it unfortunatly

Hmm, what about waiting till Rhino finishes new Afghan statics? Just sayin.

This is as good as it can get with what you have, i like it, but it might get to a new level with Rhinos statics, if they are as good as i think they will be :)

mansion against the village look out of place, but the actual dense cluster of houses look neat.

I suggest watching the documentaries armadillo, and restrepo to gain some insight on the typical look of an afghan village, theyre quite well known I think.

Also, the main in the eastern VCP it appears as if that may be too close to some caches, or able to fired at from the hill close to it, I still think the forest main, in the southwest was the best choice.

for the roads at the sides of the mountains you should take a look into Iron Eagle's mountains and its roads under the bridge, you should also look into lashkar valley's terrain, but I think you already did, so good luck with your map, hope you don't get many problems with it :D

i have set it to change at 300m and it looks perfect in the editor, but when i load the map ingame it looks like shait, this was not a problem in the previous version.
If you have not fixed this... go to "General" above your layers folder and set "FarTopTilingHi" to 4 or 6.

Quite beautiful, please keep it up. That 4th screenshot has a sort of eerie feel to it.
