Nice work Drav, was wondering why you have been absent from the forums recently.

Well obviously this bike wouldn't be very realistic for insurgents but more to the point, I'm guessing this is paid contract work which would mean that who ever Drav made this model for, would belong to them and as such, we can't use it even if we wanted to.

couldn't help myself when playing with my new rig. Quickly made a sword and some force power effect :p soooo rough but was of a mobility test than anything else hehe.

EDIT: updated the picture with a guy getting thrown about, animating this is fun as hell, but I have to get back to serious work now :p so finalizing this little sequence will have to wait for the summer.

Here is another shot:

Boy do I feel quite out of this forums league..but hell ill still post it!

I, for some reason, decided to create a Secret Underground Base as my project for my 3D Environment/Modelling course.

Now it may sound easy, but I gave myself the objective of creating -

A small armoury featuring a weapon rack and 2 equipment cabinets
A small barrack with beds, for the on-site protection force
A Canteen Area
A Laboratory
A Garage
An Airfield - featuring a Control Tower and 2 Hangars
Plus guard towers and guard outposts

So yeah, im screwed basically.

But anyway, onto the pics.

The reason that there is nothing in the doorway, is that all the rooms are created seperately, and so the tunnel leading from this armoury to the next place will only feature in the final completed model.

Only started the Armoury so far, decided to go for a semi-futuristic overall ethic for the project, so thats why everything seems so clean etc

Note - Doorways are still WIP, dont know what to do with them to make them look nice really

Looks good :) nice and clean. I think it is a good project for you as there is a good mix of small and large shapes, and by the looks of it you are doing good so far :)

My most important advice is to not give up when the going gets though. Instead of saying "f*** it" say "f*** you, you won't beat me".

Keep at it and keep posting, it is good for your motivation :)

Allow me to ruin your epic model streak with my addition
Image

Thought of modeling a lighthouse and it actually came out pretty good in relation to how most of my models end up.

Um, done. Lods, cols, coding.

Need to fix smoothing groups and redo the lightmap samples, but otherwise good to go.

Barracks done, again, a nice clean set up, with empty wardrobes/trunks

Now to move on to the Canteen!

Thank you, and the main reason I chose this project is because I get to make larger, and smaller objects and place them in a single environment, to make it all come to life.

Great advice too, I will indeed tell max to go f**k itself in due time!

I am seriously starting to love baking more and more :p ( yeah I know there is a useless edge in there, has been killed since)

Big rez of the martini henry I finally got close to finished for baking at some point when I get 'free' time.

The M113 is a part of a second Modelling Assignment, in which the requirement was to create a low poly M113 (Under 4000 tris) and thats why it looks so ridiculously low poly lol

Job well done from what I see :) interesting layout and kudos on not taking the easy way out on having only 90degree angles and such.

Few hours in. Maybe I put too much of the metal in the spec, trying to avoid generic clouds/scratches everywhere.
