The landing for the Blackhawk is supposed to be sped up by .6. I think having 2 Blackhawks and 1 Littlebird would be much more realistic and fun.
robbo wrote:I think you should have 4 BlackHawk's 4 LittleBird's and 2 Attack Birds as its such a large map. Ground wise it should be No Tanks 4 APC's and loads of HMMWV's. For the Insurgents have 4 Tanks 8 technicals 2 Jihad cars and a Bomb truck. This map currently kicks *** and due to the high rise buildings and such i would be an awesome map for Air insertion.
As for Insurgent Kits put like PKM's And SVD's on alot of the rooftops say 1 out of 15 roves so its like a stash like in real life assault on Fallujah. ;-)
And... I strongly disagree. This map should be geared more toward tank battles and infantry battles. NO map unless it is absolutely gigantic and has a 128 player limit (which I know is not possible at the moment) should have that many helicopters. That would mean the USMC would need at least 10 pilots to man all those choppers.

And again, NO ATTACK CHOPPERS. We would have a repeat of Basrah with everyone waiting at the spawn point for an attack chopper.

Are you insane who has tank battles in a city  hmm no danger of RPG's flying at M1 turrets their ;-)

And Infantry battles i mean you'd need a sniffer dog to find the Insurgents the maps so big.

Id think it would be neat to keep the air power to a MINIMUM, we dont need another al basrah with half the team in the air/at the airport.

1 black hawk would make it so a skilled pilot can do insertions, but you wont have a 5 other noobs flying around and spraying their chain guns in to nothingness.

2 abrams would be neat because it would take a skilled (and full) tank team to actually stay alive in the city... if you went out by yourself youd be dead, but with a driver/gunner/50 cal, you may have a chance of surviving

Alright, don't be condescending. That pisses me off. I am trying to keep this civil.

I am no military expert, but I have seen many pictures and videos with Abrams tanks in cities blowing the shit out of buildings. They seem to be used in conjuction with lots of infantry support.

I think this map is meant for a larger scale infantry battle. This map is not meant for everyone and their mother to fly around aimlessly in a chopper trying to spot an insurgent or two.

I agree i don't want much air power in this map. I think instead of having a transport BH you should add a littlebird due the tight city streets and what not. I think there should be no jets and no attack choppers b/c no one here(which are the people who really mater) wants to see another basrah with half the team camping the airfield.

I've seen a bunch of videos of tanks getting IED and attacked by RPGs. I'm going to have to second the whole armor in urban areas = suicide.

:) Just my opinion.

Thats what LBs are for here...
And since the US Main is so small, dont think, we need a large airforce parked there, just a helipad for repairs...
And Special Forces mesh stuff for buildings, so insurgents can go up on balconies and watch the laundry line while waiting for tank to come on their IED :P

Then I would say we either need a whole lot of hummers and maybe some LAV's.

Any servers running the new map? And I didn't see a link for the new map -- where is it?

well the view distance is about 500 to 600 meters... as i used it a as a arty like thing.. i would ask the infantry if its a hit and if they would spot the enemys..

and i survived lots of tank rounds at Al Basrah too.. so why not on Bagdad?

Ya, it would be awesome if Snake can make this awesome map even more perfect. SP guys said that if Sanke release a final version of the map, they would start navmeshing this. So we have to give him input

Heh, hopefully by then the SP guys have an experienced navmesher giving us more pointers. i tried to recruit some guys but no one replied yet!

Is it just me or does the lighting not look right on this map? Even when turning things high at the US base it doesn't look great.

Ok its nice to see you fixed most of the things. There are still to many empty spaces in the map though and you should add a lot more trees on the side of the roads and in other places. Make the trees more green too because right now they look brown. Also i think it would be best to remove all civilian building at the US main and make it into a fire base with checkpoints on either side of the bridge as it would be in real life. This fire base would include a helipad for the little bird. Also you should add a few random abandoned american checkpoints with road blocks and gun towers on the roads. Not to many but a few. Thats all i have for now.

the insurgent has a hook.. so you need squad play do get on roofs = good..

the Americans need a skilled pilot to operate the littlebird.. its like their version of a grapple hook :D

but some roofs need to be accessible ..

BUG REPORT!: at the mec1 and (maby) mec2 as an american i w8ed there to cap a flag ... it was beyond neutral and i left the flag zone... i was doing some flyby's at mecmainbase when suddenly mec1 was capped o.O and i was in local.. ALONE!

so flags cap emsefls o.O
