My friend just took google translate and entered Special Operations, so we translated. We didn't pay too much attention to that to be honest since none of us knows Arabic.

I certainly want to have it grammatically correct now that you can provide me with correct information, so please Ome99 if you have time, post me a few Arabic texts here that you think would fit this van (anything that fits, name of some company, insurgents' notes, etc). I will then include them in the texture.

About green van having a different title, let me explain:

All van textures are identical, except for the color - so each one has exactly the same titles. But the difference is in the camera angle. Yellow and red one are seen from the right, while green is seen from the left side. This right side has the title damaged by rust, while it's a bit more preserved on the left side.

I really don't know what you want, just tell me what you need, i'm not very original, so that's all I came up with:
The Iraqi resistance "المقاومة العراقية"
Mind the blast "إنتبه إلى الانفجار"
Goodbye infidel "وداعا يا كافر"
Look at the bullet "اُنضر الى الطلقة"
IED inside "عبوه ناسفة في الداخل"

I seriously don't know what's appropriate to put on the vans, so none of the above in reality are, usually the insurgents will try to disguise them as normal civilian cars, and not graffiti anything into them.

I just thought they may add humour to the game, if you read and understand Arabic that is.

How about some random designation, like: د.ك.ع ـ ٧٣٩

The point about using "للعمليات الخاصة"/"for special operations", is still better than using "العمليات الخاصة"/"the special operations" (what you used) still stands. Some letters were obscured by the mud texture, so I thought there was a misspelling, but Splatters cleared that out in an earlier post.

This is turning into an arabic lesson

I think 'for special operations' fits the purpose perfectly!

Btw, might look betterif it was made to look hand written with spray paint

We already have the gary and c4 car for that so I think there is no need.

Yea, let's delete these months of work on this transport vehicle, for there are bomb cars. Who needs transport anyway?


On a more serious note, the van looks excellent! This vehicle will be a very nice addition for the insurgents.

Speaking of gary, it is in desperate need of a decent model. Might make it the first thing I model if I decide to get off my lazy ***.

The more bombcars the better, i think. I think they bring excellent gameplay. Just need to ensure that the 5.56bullets penetrates the frontglass on all VBIEDs.

I have been waiting to see some new insurgent vehicles implemented in the game. This will be a great addition!

Why? because i needed the practice and i though it was funny.

Any news on this ? The vehicle was nearing completion (minus lods and wreck).

Guys, I'm deeply sorry for the delay. Again, rest assured that I didn't forget or abandon this, but it's true I prolonged it too far. I feel that I need to explain the situation:

In my other life when I'm not modeling terrorist vehicles for the most awesome military sim in the world, I am working as art director and 3d artist (both!) on the game called Miner Wars 2081. Right now, we are working like crazy to make the game as awesome as is possible in the short time for the fans who are impatiently waiting! I am involved 100% in that, which obviously takes all of my time (not just free time, but all time ).

Again, sorry and I'm not planning to abandon the van! I'm sad I didn't make it fit to 0.96 though.
