Please dev's take a look at it, i think desert maps at night are far more realistic (A)

Not in PR they're not
We don't have the luxury of working nightvision, dynamic lighting or thermal imaging

the main problem with night maps is people thing they are going to be "super cool, spec ops missions" but in fact, they aint and when they play them, they dont like it they are getting owned even more as they are finding it even harder to spot stuff out.

ok so i am going to try to convert most of the maps to night just to see what they look like, but kashan bunkers look crazy and tracers are really cool, i will be posting some pics of albasrah at night with a apache instead of a merlin.

ok so me and cas have made a few changes, first we have been messing around with the apache and now we have 2 new ways to guide the missiles to the target, 1 the missiles can track a laser target object that the tank puts out so it is just point your camera at it lock on and shoot. the other way you shoot the missile and guide it to the target just like a hat or f15. also the effect that the agm114 uses has been changed.
also in the new patch i got around to putting jonnys ballistics in. there should be some videos coming soon.

Nice... would like to see that Apache change. Using the ammo link stuff I suppose. Need to confirm it works on dedicated.

well all i did was make the tv missile camera use the same camera as the 30mm gun and allowed it to control it, then i made the tv guided missile controller not use projectile camera, then i added a lptargetcomp to the tv guided missile controller, so now when you fire a missile you can guide the missile untill impact. but to do this the pilot has to hover very very still, but cas is messing around with pitch and yaw stabilization so it should work soon. cas also made another way this way would be alot easyer to control and would keep choppers from getting owned when ever the shoot a missile, he made the tv camera and the missile track lasertarget, so you have to aim at the target for about 2 sec then it locks and you can shoot, then the missile guides it self to the target. also the 30mm cannon for the apache has been changed, it now does more damage and also the rounds from the cannon go slower.
i have also been working on some of the effects so in the next patch there should be a bigger effect for the jdam, i have also changed the agm114 trail.

Yesterday I participated with some tests. The new changes are nice.
The new missle for the Apache (that should be done to the other attack helicopters also) looks really good, like how we see in videos (because I've never been in combat in my life). There is a little problem about the smoke trail, It should be removed or should be as shorter as possible.
The slower rounds give us a good feeling. Zangoo made a change other day, increasing the zoom view distance, so when we shoot, the rounds take a time to hit, but with that view distance it was super-powered. So then he put the view distance back to normal, but slowered the round speeds. Now its nice.
While testing here, I could se the jdam explosion effects normal from a distance, but when I'm near the explosion, I just see a little "puff" of smoke.
The changes for the F-16 flight is good. Now I can pilot it normal, but I dont feel good when piloting it, too slow, I feel like I'm going to stall even with a high speed being shown on the HUD.
I could see also the new missles. It's very fast. Now it can hit the planes.
Well, here is what I think I can post (if I cant, edit it or PM me to change). Other things I will report to CAS and zangoo.

yes i am having some problems with large effects drawing at close range and some times they dont draw at all. how should i fix this? and yes the trail for the agm114 will be changed from what i see off youtube the some trail will last for about 0.5-1 sec then just a flame will be there.

ok right now i just put in the velocity, gravity and damage, i did not under stand what i would have to change for the recoil, if you could elabirate on that i would be glad to put it in. i also think i have done it to most of the guns you have on the excel doc. right now it is alot harder to head shot someone cus of the increased bullet drop.

I can say that shooting from a Apache with the 30 mm now looks cooler than never before.

oh yha i also added a bigger effect to the apache 30mm gun, it now uses the same effect as the brit apc. also romagnolo i have increased the time that the new effect for the jdam, it should stay for about 30 sec now.

ok i have found a way to make it so that the jdam is not a 100% hit every time right on the marker, now there is about a 20m radius that it will land in, but if you need it to be 100% then you need to get it to drop as close to straight down as you can.
