Brummy, the Eve of Destruction guys have a black soldier model with gear very very similar to what has been posted a couple of times here (olive uniform, M1 helmet). If you ask nicely...
This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

Yeah from the pictures it seems like the congo army dosent have any sort of body armor like whats being used in the current player models so like what jerkzilla said maybe we could use the EOD player models along with the Militia kits?

Just realized that the L9 pistol used by the UK army igame is a version of the Browning Hi-power. Since you're planing on using it as the FARDCs sidearm, why not just reskin the L9 instead of starting from scratch?

and im downloading 0.5 for the claymores
Edit: ok now i know what gun it is i think. a ZU 23?
and all 0.5 links dont seem to work for me
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZU_23
* Overall dimensions in firing position
o Length: 4570 mm
o Width: 2880 mm
o Height: 1220 mm
* Weight: 0.95 tonnes
* Armament: two 2A14 Afanasyev-Yakushev 23 mm autocannons
* Barrel length: 2010 mm / 87.3 calibers
* Muzzle velocity: 970 m/s
* Projectile weight: 178 g
* Rate of fire
o Cyclic: 2,000 rounds per minute
o Practical: 400 rounds per minute
* Effective range: 2 - 2.5 km
* Effective altitude: 1.5 - 2 km
* Ammunition
o BZT Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer (API-T) rounds
o OFZ High Explosive Incendiary Tracer (HEI-T) rounds
if you strip some parts from the ZU23 you get that effect you have on that truck.
and i think it could be used multi purpose, look at the red.

The FH2 German AP mines are tripwired but look like a good one, it is slightly buried in the ground with only the top sticking out.[R-CON]Hfett wrote:On africa they have a lot of AP Mines, i would sugest to remove the C4 and put AP Mines instead.
No Claymore type, but one that you need to step on one to blow
S-mine 35 if i recall correct.

Re: The Army of the Democratic Republic of Congo
I've never been eager to ask for a sub forum, but this faction for one really seems to have a lot of back up from a broad community where lots of people are getting involved. I think its because its not anyones home army (and thus not very open for foreign peoples input) and its a common effort to create a new force to play against thats not your typical western army.
Brummy seems very dedicated, shows good judgement and willingness to learn so I'm betting my money on this horse. I'd say give him that forum so he can create the threads and lets get this bad boy rollin'

Oops! Was looking at the first design plan.[R-MOD]Brummy wrote:Look at the Design planIt says Reskin.
If you're planning on using the SVD as sniper, please redesign the scope! The vBF2 one is awful and doesn't really look like the real life PSO-1.
And you won't have to start from scratch with the AKS. IIRC someone have already done it (just search the forum). What about asking that person for permission to use his model instead?

I think dylan did an AKS once.. I'm sure he is willing to finish that up or somethingSTORM-Mama wrote: And you won't have to start from scratch with the AKS. IIRC someone have already done it (just search the forum). What about asking that person for permission to use his model instead?
EDIT:
here we are: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f66-co ... 7-wip.html
He has learned quite a lot since then and I'm sure he can make it look stellar if he has the time for it.

Re: The Army of the Democratic Republic of Congo
Sounds great!
I dont think optics should be so frequent though.
I think that instead of optics, the rifleman (and those that would posses a x4) should just have a more accurate rifle, like a more recent AK weapon.
The Marksman should have an AK with a x4 and the Sniper with the SVD.
I wanna see lots of rolled up sleeves, berrets and darked out shades
