It could, but we just have to lower our texture sizes due to performance issues. Other wise it can be high-res.

I wonder, once we complete our mapping optimisation programme (alot of which has been done) perhaps a few vehicles can get their big textures back :P

+ Added interior with texture baked from 1p model
+ Added specularity and normal maps
+ Added windows

* Canvas on the roof is now a simple rug
* Changed side texts to be handwritten, larger and more chaotic
* Made mud less strong


Left to do:

- fix some bugs on the baked interior
- tweak specular and normal maps
- finalize terrorist version
- finalize woodland version
- finalize civil version

PS: When you do the woodland version, are you going to make the license plate with numerals so it fits into European/Russian maps?

Rhino here on Rank's PC and can't be asked to logg into my account.

Looks really awesome at first glance, only crit would be the number plate shouldn't have a normal map for the text, looks odd :p

Other than that, very nice work! Keep it up! :D

The text is probably stamped (but inversely stamped... :razz :) into the plate, so it sticks out.

IDK how you brits do it but over here they are (inverse) stamped

btw, you've written all the arabic in the arabic equivalent of Capital letters, it's as odd as if we would write "special operations" like this:

It says "supply" or "supplies" I think, and I took that from one of the boxes in the interior. I would've changed it into something else, but I changed three computers meanwhile and I couldn't find that same font again so I used what I already had. Also to save some time because it's already grooved in the normal map, etc.

no worries altfuture, it's pretty confusing at first. what you have now (google translate? ;) ) is correct, though it's naskh-script, so it's verrry tidy, to be found only on computers and traditional scriptures. in Western Arabic countries (like Tunesia, Algeria and Morocco) I believe it's still used in day to day writing as well. however, in the rest of the Arabic world, the more interesting part from PR's perspective, people use the Ruq ah script, which is easy to write quickly and is very simplified (and for outsiders often unreadable). if only I could write some things down to show you!:s

I'd say, just use this font, it's good enough. I furthermore advise you to copy the text to Word and enlarge it so you have more detail. the little stripes for instance are actually two dots, you can't see that at this scale.

sry for being a script-nazi here, I understand this'll mean a lot of extra work for you, but it just looks so much better ;) good luck!

Oh this is back, yeah you know, the arabic on the side is all messed up due to the fact that for titles like that they like to do it in a arch to fit it on the door, at least on official vehicles

Thank you Wakain :) I manually painted the new text-lines to mimic Ruq ah. Looks much better. No idea if it's correct though :)

I won't be coming back to it anymore though, so consider this final. Now onto finishing woodland and civil versions!

Yeah, woodland and civy are planned to be Russian-themed.
