Let me ask you this then: Why is a 'stacked' team going to win instantly?

I hear the complaints about teamstacking all the time, and I keep asking the same question over and over, never getting a satisfying answer. It's always the same 'COD' mentality (as you like to call it, OP) from the people that think the teamstacking is a major issue, and NOT from the regular players. In my opinion anyway. "OMG TEAM R STACKZOORED WE R LOSE!"

Do you think that just because 10 or more members on a team wearing the same tags make them GOD? That they are suddenly incapable of losing a match? They might have better coordination/communication than puggers among each other, but if you can get your team to organize on mumble you will stand a chance. If you are playing on a server where most people don't use mumble, then that is your loss.


Let me clarify this. Having a clan tag does not make you an uber l33t player. It does not give you hacks, it does not give you infinitely more skill than players without a tag. Having a team with "15 or more" people of the same clan, does not equal a winning team. Why not? Because of the aforementioned reason. 15 people with a tag are still just 15 people, not 15 gods.

I am often against teams where there are people from the same clan together. If your team is organized well enough you will beat them. Trust me on that one. The same can be said about me being on a 'stacked' team. We have lost matches as well when on a 'stacked' team myself. The only way you are going to get a truth to your statement is when one team almost entirely consists out of a well oiled clan (or two/three clans working together) and the opposing team consists of lonewolves that lack all forms of social interaction, aside of screaming at others why they are noobs because they have lost the sniper or HAT kits. But hey, it doesn't take a genius team to take them out at all.

Just play on your own server.... or other.

And who cares? If this is on TAR then that server should be banned, because their admins ban everyone who kills one of them.

I teamstack servers no matter which side I'm on, but that's besides the point.

Both the above sections are routinely closed just before and for a short period after each release. The intention is to avoid numerous threads on the same subject and to allow changes and updates to properly embed before people start suggesting improvements. I have seen teams comprised of more than 50% members of the same clan taken apart routinely by public teams with a couple of experienced and co-operative SLs. Simply having several of the same tag on one side does not mean that the team is stacked, you should instead judge it by the results of the game. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any data to show what the outcome of each game is, however in my experience it tends to be about 50:50.

In an ideal world, individual clan members would separate out across the server and each create a squad. Public players could then join these squads and the game should in theory be fairly balanced - that's how I remember T&T often used to do it and it worked very well. That's also how TG often do it too.

The simple advice is; if you believe the teams to be stacked grab a mate and each create a squad. Roll in platoon strength force and try and organise some support with other squads and you'll quickly re-balance things. There is nothing to prevent just two determined individuals from turning the tide of a game or series of games - and again, I've seen that done many times as well.

It's very frustrating to play against a team-stacked team, but as mentioned it is not necessarily related to the Clan Tags used.

Insurgency contributes to team-stacking because obviously all of the experienced players tend to migrate to the [more teamwork based] Blufor side. But insurgency is unique.

On Muttrah a teamstacked team will take apart a **** team because they will have FOB's. It seems the same on other maps. If your team has FOB's it is fun to play. Bad teams routinely have no FOB's.


I do believe there is a 'downwards spiral' effect in terms of morale, lack of FOB's and SL's/good players rage-quitting because they are not having fun.

Almost 100% of the time the '****' team has NO comms on mumble between squads. But there is a 'chicken and egg' situation here.. The SL's leave/find a fun server, and then the team does even worse, leading to worse SL's, less comms, etc.

After reading your guys post, Some of you are correct and are noticing this aswell. Even the PR devs notice this. The solution that some of you listed, is not a solution if you read the main post fully..

Why should I go waste money on a PR server when literally, there is 3-5 servers with good Ping that are populated daily. As shown here;

Me buying a server would fix my problem, but be a pain in the rear to get a community started and active players everynight, with espically bigger and better games coming out very soon. That is just not a solution.

Your other solution was go find another server, kinda follows with above ^^^.

Last solution, make a squad with some people and try and attack with force and tactics. This works maybe 50% of the time, either you create a squad with people that join and will listen and follow for a short while, then go off and do something stupid or I can actually get a nice squad who talks and I AM NOT lying to anyone here, they all pretty much at some point in time in the match talk about how the clan is team stacking and how it happens often and frequent. To the ones that are cool and I see every night playing, I usually try to ask for their STEAM so we can play together later, so far I've met 3 nice people this way, one that even lives 10mins down the road ^_^

Also, someone noted just because one team is stacked with members with clan tags on, dont mean teams are stacked.. Umm. Yes it does, it means they are cordinated, communicating, and *cough* cough, usually like to cheat/ghost/spy or just rush all the possible cache locations because they play to much.

Bottom line; this can be solved via 3 different ways.
-PR makes a autoscramble feature built in which users can vote for or ADMIN can trigger it.
-A boycott happens and people stop playing there
-Finally, actually try and communicate with the server owners/clan and work things out.

#3 has failed for me mutiple times, which is why I came here last. I went into their vent, had a talk with them, got a UMAD BRO response and left their crappy vent. I tried in-game, got warned for spam. Tried again on their team chat, got kicked because I was crying to much apparently. Last choice, go their forums, post there, get a UMAD BRO response, and probably the post be deleted or me banned due to them wanting to censor.

Lately I have been sucking it up a tad more, just going some stupid support role like driving the logi around repairing or rearming APCs mortar teams or me being part of mortar team which can be quite a bit of fun on either side your on.

But Im out of options, Its either wait it out till the 12 yr olds go back to school next month, or just start playing late night or weekends when a more mature crowd comes online.

Problem is most experienced, teamwork-oriented SLs are tagged SLs. Not all by any means all, but most.

I disagree with the statements about how clan tags =/= better team work. The whole premise of joining a clan in PR is to focus on cohesion with the other members, and while not everyone is equal on individual skill a clan that plays together often can easily shift the balance of the team.

I see stacking on every server, in every fps I've ever played. It's quite simple, most people cannot handle losing and instead of a challenge they would prefer a hollow victory to keep their ego in check. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, in fact I'd say most PR servers keep things fairly even. In the end it's so much better to see a 5-0 victory then a 350-0 one.

I will admit that I will seize the opportunity to swap teams when I join mumble and see 5 guys on team 2 and 18 on team 1. I know this to be true to a lot of you guys reading this, because it is usually more fun on the mumble team. Not to mention the comms are that much better making the entire team that much more effective leading toooooooooooooooo
stacked teams.

How can we resolve the issue at hand? I believe it is similar to littering, in the sense that each individual has to take it upon themselves to be responsible for their own shit. I don't think this trend will ever stop, and short of the holy grail shuffle script there really is no clear cut solution...otherwise I'd like to believe a dev would've brought that to the table already.

"team stacked" as it is used here to me means teamwork and communication. I believe that is the whole point of PR.

If there is a script to mix up tagged people, then they could just take off the tags and nobody would know. and if it scrambles the entire server, there can still be many coincidentally on one side. So I say get on mumble and talk to squad leaders and make an example for whatever team you are on.

Clan = group of people that like to play together. They are such noobs for wanting teamplay, squad cohesion, etc. PR Is all about solo sniper kills man!

It's easy to get a squad of pubbies up and fight against clans. There are many clanless players out there that are really good, just having proper co-ordination is key.


Just don't play on non-mumble servers. Seriously, they are 100X better for teamwork.

The thing is to win in PR it isnt about twitch skills, but communication and coordination, with the exception of flying maybe. I teamswitched on the sisu server a couple of times to try and take command of a team that did not so well, with 90 % of the team ignoring me and the other not getting the support they needed, for example trans would ignore ammo requests for mortars, mortars which were built only pretty late in the game too. I also noticed that the "stacked" team has many people on mumble.

To sum it up, if one team keeps losing and the other team keeps winning it isnt necessarily an "skill" issue, but an attitude issue, cant be assed to join mumble, cant be assed to build fobs, cant be assed to communicate, cant be assed to aknowledge the XO, cant be assed to man mortars. So players wo can be bothered, dont want to be part of a team where 90% only want to to whats fun, rather than interrupting their rush to the killthrill to set up a fob maybe. Soo even if some people switch, it wont change a thing, because it doesnt change the attitude of the team.

Also what I said before, become a regular on one or 2 servers join mumble and both teams will be "stacked". Communication and coordination will be easier with mumble and people you play with on a regular basis.

Beat team stack = actually do good. A few guys from a clan can join any game can win or seriously sway the battle in their favor, if they are good. Otherwise they can just make things worse if not

For me and my guys we dont try to get on the same team just to go and rape the other team. Sometimes if we see a large amount of clan people on one team we will try to go on the other to try to balance it out, but most of the time we just join a server and what ever side most of our people end up on is the side we all try to join. There really is no other reason than that we want to play together. Is there anything wrong with that? I know some of my game buddies IRL and just want to play with them. Sometimes we do really good sometimes we do really bad (rarely) . We never intentionally stack a team intentionally to crush the other side.
