I lold.

Im rarely a medic, but when i am, im pretty decent, im not THE absolute best, but i achieve more with teamwork and thinking than most of the excellent "patch thowers" do.
Sometimes i do AR, and i do it properly. I can do it properly because i tell someone to cover my back while i lay down sustained fire. Sometimes im a normal rifleman. And do what i have to do with the best of my abilities, and those arent too shabby. I am the one who covers the AR, and medic.
Mostly i am SL. I am not THE best, but i use my squadmembers in cohesion to make my squad THE best.

So, whatever your tactic is, without someone backing you up, its gonna be hard. It depends on the situation.

Oh, also, i have a habit of telling my squad, especially AR, to focus on that critically wounded guy i just killed, incase some smartass medic with a patch in his hands comes to the rescue, while nobody covers him.

This.

All I'm saying is that if he starts dropping patches on the bodies and doing the stuff he's already doing, he would be an excellent medic.

No offense, Arnoldio ;)

Seriously, reviving is amazing as it is already. I really think that you should smoke or clear the area before reviving someone, I don't like this "revive and sprint" kind of thing. It might be just me.

I insist on walking to cover whenever I get revived, with a patch or not.

But do whatever you think is best... different people have fun in different ways ;)
agree 100%
That exploit should take off.
maybe patches should use like medig bag...press button and look down or up or something.
maybe some 5 sec timer when patch is used.
its not realistic that you just throw some bandage on ground and then comes miracle.

Is it realistic to stab a killed soldier with an epipen, and show him a first aid kit for a couple of seconds, then voila, he's good to go? No.
It's a game. You can't make everything as realistic as possible. It would ruin the gameplay.

its not realistic.

but using patch like medic bags(that you cant just throw them)it would be more teamwork requiring.
and with 11 patches the cpr is almost useless.

Being able to heal yourself with the first aid kit was removed for this(?) patch. What does this mean? You need field-dressings to heal yourself, as they're supposed to do (heal yourself or/and others until a medic appears).

Now, if the field-dressings are supposed to act the same way as the first aid kit (except only 25% healing), it means you won't be able to heal yourself.
What would be the point of field-dressings then?

I've only used CPR about 10 times in a year, patches make it redundant.

Although the OPs point still stands. Dropping a patch before reviving is the hallmark of an excellent medic, rather than just a good or a great medic.

my bad...with field dressings you could heal your self but you just need to keep those in hand when you are healing, not throwing on ground.

That made more sense :)
