With a little creativity and some logical reasoning you could pull of a futuristic setup. Tactics won't change much, you just need to adapt and create tactics for new weapons and tech. The modern battlefield is always changing and it would be interesting to "develop" weapons and see how players utilize them.

No but seriously, what would be needed to have those "conflicts" (and I would also like to see them!) in PR, would be those yellow tips on the barrels and the laser-system soldiers use in training. Bam, German-French joint training with dummy ammunition!
